Rachel, I really enjoyed your portfolio! There were so many things you did well. Your book review is especially good, and I really appreciate that you posted it on Goodreads even though that was something new (and sort of uncomfortable) for you. If you're considering going in to communications and media, having the experience of sharing your writing with a wide audience could be really valuable to you. Since you seem to enjoy reading and you’ve used Goodreads once now, maybe you can continue to use it to keep track of books you've read. also think your literacy vignettes worked very well. The layout you chose was interesting, and your writing was clear and easy to follow. The navigation of the prezi made me worry that I had missed something, but it did take me to all the little bubbles; it just didn’t go in the order I expected, which made it kind of fun. I think you could have been a bit more reflective in some cases, but overall, this part of the portfolio was really strong. Your SLOs in Action assignment was also good, with just a few small issues. The SLOs in Action assignment might be a good candidate for revision as you start to plan your final portfolio, You definitely seemed to understand the SLOs and their definitions, and you also seemed to be making real connections. However, it seemed like you just abandoned this piece of writing the second your hit 500 words. Of course, when there’s a word limit, that’s easy to do. I think there’s more you could say here, though. There also is room for improvement in terms of the layout (such as indenting paragraphs—which might have to do with weebly and not with your writing), and I also think you could push yourself to write even more clearly and concisely. Because you write so well already, I think revising this piece would give you a place to stretch your abilities and see what you can do. The layout of your portfolio was great. Your navigation worked well, and most of the labels were clear. The journal entries weren’t really in order, which made them a little difficult to evaluate. I was able to figure out which order they went in, but I think you could have polished the layout a bit more there, Overall, you did a really good job. | appreciated your reflection, and I felt like it told me a lot about how you worked through this assignment. I’m glad you recognize the effort you put in and state that you should get a high B or an A. I agree with you, and your efforts have earned you a 92 on Mini-Portfolio #1.
