The depression
Today depression is not considered by many very important
because it is a bad silent is hidden in many as a disease that if not
taken as it is important you could bring the same death by suicide but
the help of all the people who want it can help improve people.
Depression is one of the most common and serious mental
health problems that people face today. Millions of people worldwide
survive in the midst of depression. Rich, poor, citizens, peasants, men
and women, both developed and developing countries.
Depressive disorders affect nearly 10 % of the adult population
(18.8 million adults) yearly in the United Stated, and include unipolar
major depression, dysthymia (a less severe, longer-lasting form of
depression), and bipolar disorders (manic-depressive illness) Unipolar
major depression affects more than 50 million people worldwide and is
expected to be the second leading cause of disability life lost to
premature death and disability. In 1998 unipolar major depression was
the third leading cause of premature death and disability in Los
Angeles County based on DALYs.

Depressive disorders have profound affects on individuals,
families and society. They impair social and occupational functioning
resulting in lost productivity at the workplace, school, and at home.
The annual costs of depressive disorders in the United stated are
extremely high, comparable to that of heart disease. Depressive
disorders greatly increase the risk for suicide, and often co-occur with
other medical illnesses such as heart disease and diabetes.
Today many of us do not take it into account that is causing
depression or depression in our lives, personally I really did not think
much to most people go through depression, much less an early age,
we are talking about children of 12 or 13 and older. Many could say as
a 12 year old can have depression in your life but the reality is that if
most of the children have been through something. That's within the
United States but think what if in the third world countries. They in
many cases turn to suffer violations of their human rights as physical
and not just children if not the majority of people suffering extreme
poverty.
Depression is a serious matter so serious that if one does not put
you attention depression could lead to death thinking it would be an
easier way for us all. An example that could show us was the death of
Robin Williams' many have given different versions of why many say
that he was taking pills and that put him in a terrible depression.
In Robin Williams' suicide, a hidden disease?

(CNN) Robin Williams' widow is speaking out about the disease process
she blames for taking her husband's life. She wants his millions of fans
to know the legendary comedian and actor didn't so much take his
own life, as was widely reported in August 2014, but rather had it
taken from him.
It wasn't until his autopsy that she learned he was suffering from a
relatively unknown brain disorder called Lewy body dementia. Susan
Williams, who was in a years-long relationship with the comedian
before marrying him in 2011, told ABC News this week about her
husband's rapid decline in the months before his death.
Michael Jackson's legacy five years later: Music, family and
'What if?'
Michael Jackson died on June 25, 2009, in a desperate search for sleep
as he prepared for a comeback tour that he hoped would pull him out
of deep debt and restore his reputation as the world's top entertainer.
Events of the past five years revealed how that desperation ultimately
killed Jackson, while his wealth and fame have been secured in the
wake of his death Jackson's final days. Michael Jackson left the United
States with his three young children soon after his June 13, 2005
acquittal on child molestation charges. He quietly returned to the
country in late 2006, after spending a year exiled in Bahrain and
several months in Ireland.

Many do not become important because they are famous people
but to actually thousands and thousands of people die from the
depression to suicide that many do not give account that are simply
not important people if they could call so although we are all human
beings and all are important in this land. That is why we must raise
awareness and help these people suffer in silence.
Teen depression and how social media can help or hurt
(CNN) Recent news stories about cyber bullying, with kids running
away, hurting others and even taking their own lives, points to a
growing trend with often tragic results.
According to a recent study in the journal JAMA Pediatrics, 23% of
teens report they are or have been the target of cyber bullying.
Another 15% admitted to bullying someone else online. The
researchers' review of 10 studies that explored the link between social
media victimization and depression all showed -- without exception-- a
significant correlation. Yes, cyber bullying undeniably can inflict serious
wounds. But from my own family's personal experience, along with
research, allowing a teen access to social media can also be a crucial
part of recovery from depression and anxiety.
According to the National Institute of Mental Health, in 2012, an
estimated 2.2 million adolescents, or 9.1% of the U.S. teen population
(ages 12 to 17), had at least one major depressive episode in the past
year.

It is very important to understand the condition of these people
and try to help but the most important is to give its support and let the
professionals do their work as psychologists that we could worsen the
case of each.
Helping a depressed friend or family member
Depression is a serious but treatable disorder that affects millions of
people, from young to old and from all walks of life. It gets in the way
of everyday life, causing tremendous pain, hurting not just those
suffering from it, but also impacting everyone around them.

number of difficult emotions, including helplessness, frustration, anger,
fear, guilt, and sadness. These feelings are all normal. Its not easy
dealing with a friend or family members depression. And if you dont

own emotional health. Thinking about your own needs is not an act of
selfishnessits a necessity. Your emotional strength will allow you to
provide the ongoing support your depressed friend or family member
needs.
How to Help Someone Who's Depressed
When someone you know and love is clinically depressed, you want to
be there for that person. Still, keep in mind that your friend or loved
one has a medical condition, so giving support may mean more than
just offering a shoulder to cry on.
There are many things you can do to make them feel better, says
Jackie Gollan, PhD, assistant professor in the department of psychiatry
and behavioral sciences at Northwestern University Feinberg School of
Medicine in Chicago, but medical care may be what they really need to
recover. Here are nine helpful things you can do for someone with
depression.
In conclusion I could say that I have learned much from this title
and many should understand that depression is something that today
is not given adequate importance and that it therefore makes many
times or worst people They discussed suicide but we must do
something to help and giving them our support as friend, brother and
let the professionals can help them out of the case.
