adding to, taking from, putting together, taking apart,
and comparing, with unknowns in all positions, e.g., by

unknown number to represent the problem.

Standard 2: Communication and Collaboration
Standard 3: Research and Information Fluency
Standard 5: Digital Citizenship
Standard 6: Technology Operations and Concepts

Learning Objectives

Students will be able to:

Demonstrate how to add and subtract.

Solve basic algebra equations

Apply algebraic thinking

Analyze the mathematics language

Learn and exercise at the same time

Make a movie about math

Make a movie on how math skills will be used in

everyday life

Communication skills improve

Technology Uses

Smart board
Laptop
Movie Maker software
Leap TV
Kidspiration

Materials

One Tablet> Leap Frog App

Procedure

Step 1: Students will then get into groups of four.

Step 2: Students will work together in groups for 30
minutes.
Step 3: Students will then make a movie based on the
math skills that they have learned and mastered.
Step 4: Student will be using video production software
to make the video.
Students will go to the start icon>All programs>
Window live movie maker
Students will go on the internet and gather pics
relating to leap TV math games/ Kidspiration and
explain what they did.
Students will save each picture under their Kdrive.
Start icon>Computer>Click name> Click new
folder> Name the folder: movie maker pictures
Student will then make a title page> Title of movie
and names of each child
Step 5: Within the group, the children will discuss their
roles/responsibilities.
Step 6: Each student will be assigned a role, since these
are younger children, the students will be under closer
direction.

One student will be in charge of gathering the

information for the video.

Another student will be in charge of gathering the
pictures and video scene.

The third student will create a storyboard for the

video

The fourth student will be in charge of editing for

the final video.
