Critical Comments and Reflections: (Problems, successes, and what to think about for next
lesson)

Overall the students thoroughly enjoyed creating their own personal owls, so much they
all thought it was a hoot! Problems recognized as a result were - the paper provided was
too large, there were not enough stencils provided for each student. The paper could be
reduced in size making it easier to distribute and for students to work with. The paper
could already be pre-arranged in stacks featuring every color provided to cut down on
time used to distribute paper to students. Provide a pre-made stencil set for each student
in the class so no one has to wait for stencils to be passed around. The students enjoyed
using all the materials relevant to the lesson. The students enjoyed the ability to choose
what color they wanted for different parts of their owls and to create/design their very
own pattern. The result was a variety of colorful fun owls.
