PS1 Practicum Goals

Grade 1

Goal:
I want to respond to inappropriate behavior promptly, firmly, and
consistently, using low key and high level responses.

Rationale:
KSA # 7 I want to foster a safe learning environment.
KSA # 8 I also want to understand how to build professional relationships
with students, to foster mutual respect.

Planning and preparation is done to enhance the transitions of lessons for
efficient time management.
I will also understand the amount of learning and depth that students in a
grade 1 class need.

Rationale:
KSA # 3 Know how to use documents and curriculum guide to direct
planning.
KSA # 5 Students can learn but at different rates and different ways.
KSA # 9 There are many approaches to teaching and learning.
