What would you do differently?

You told them they could use a calculator if they want,
do they know what to do with the calculator to find
factors?
1x49, 7x7 Grace said thats all, because it goes back
to 7 do they know that there is no 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x
and do they know why?
Your lesson plan said to move on to the game you feel
that they are all comfortable with finding factors. How
did you determine that they were all comfortable?
Did you clarify that factors of 5x5 is only one factor?
As they are playing the game, what strategies did they
use to find the factors? How could you let others know
about those strategies?
Were there any strategies they used when choosing
their number (eg 23 or 32)?
Did they have trouble figuring out the game, especially
when you added in the common factors?

One difference:
o writing out all 1x, 2x, 3x, 4x, 5x, 6x and crossing
out what does not work.
o More examples before they start
o You explained the second part of the game more
clearly
