e are the schools health clinic, & many know us as a School-Based Health Center.

As part of the Alameda County School Health Services Coalition, they link
centers that provide age appropriate, comprehensive and confidential Medical,
Behavioral Health, Oral Health, Health Promotion & Education, and Youth
Development services to children and adolescents during and after school
hours.

School-Based Health Centers are facilities located on school property that

serve students attending Alliance Academy and Elmhurst Community Prep.

Services offered to Students

Diagnosis and treatment of minor & acute
illnesses & first aid for minor injuries

Pregnancy testing, prescription for contraception,

& referral for pre-natal care

Assistance with Chronic (on-going) illnesses

Individual and/or group counseling & health

education relating to drugs & alcohol, physical &
sexually, school, family & general mental health

Physical Examinations
(general, sports, pre-employment)
Laboratory service, dental, vision & hearing
screenings
Prescription and Over-the-Counter Medications
Diagnosis, treatment, and prevention
of sexually transmitted infections

Nutrition Assessment and Counseling

Parent Services/Resources; Insurance Enrollment
Youth Development and Leadership
Health Education Workshops

Well always attempt to bill Medi-Cal insurance for services provided at the School Based
Health Center.
