Water Cycle at Home Project


You will be completing a take-home science project on the water cycle. There are three parts to
this project. Your project is due by Friday January 8 th. Presentations will take place January 1415th . You will be asked to then present the stages in the water cycle/your project to Mrs.
Dziwanowski or Mrs. Urben.
Part 1: You will create a visual aid of the water cycle
Your project could be a poster, collage, mobile, model, diorama, or display that represents
the water cycle and shows each step of the water cycle. (Dont forget to include your name on
the project.)
You must include a pin indicating each of these stages of the water cycle:
Evaporation
Transpiration
Sublimation
Condensation
Precipitation (rain, snow, sleet, hail)
Surface Runof
Groundwater/Collection
Infiltration
Solar Energy

Part 2
A written explanation that explains the process of the water cycle. This should be written
in paragraph form, spelling and grammar should be correct. You will not be able to use this
written piece in your presentations. All the words above should be included in your writing.
Part 3
You will be asked to give a 2 minute oral presentation on your project to Mrs. Dziwanowski or
Mrs. Urben. You will use your knowledge of the water cycle to present your poster (NO
notecards). Be prepared to answer questions!
