Successes & Failures
During my first semester here at PCC, I learned a lot about how
essential it is to have a schedule or student planner at hands-reach. Staying
organized this semester helped me stay on top of my work and deadlines of
assignments in all my classes. One assignment in particular I was very proud
of was my math final. I had a 77% in the class prior to the exam. I would
constantly go to see the professor after class for tutoring or help on specific
problems from the current chapter we were discussing. As a result, the
teacher was aware of how serious I was to earn a B in her class. One
terrifying fact about the final was that it was 25% of my entire class grade.
Thus, I put the stone to the grinder and began studying a week prior to the
exam. When taking the exam I felt that it was very easy, almost too easy.
That same night, my teacher put up the scores of our exams online. I did it! I
got an 88% on the exam, and my grade went up to an 84%, reaching my
goal.
On the other hand, I also experienced a failure during this semester. I
was not prepared to take a chemistry quiz after a busy weekend of working.
Due to the lack of study time, I got what I deserved which was an F on my
quiz. It did not affect my grade by much but it was the base of the issue that

made me angry. I gave up my education for my business or work. What I

learned was that my education is more important than my job, because it is
what is feeding my knowledge to continue to work.
