RESEARCH EXPERIENCE
University of Science and Technology of China
Supervised by Prof. Zhongping Wang

Fabrication of large area ordered double-chemical-termination (SrO-TiO2) nanostructure on SrTiO3 (STO)

substrate: My group cleaned the surface by NH4F-HF etching, annealed the substrate under air in high
temperature, then characterized the morphology by AFM. By adjusting acid PH, etching time, annealing
temperature and time, we fabricated this special surface on STO substrate.
Won first prize in the Research-Oriented Physics Experiment Competition of USTC

Investigated selective deposition of LaAlO3 thin film on ordered double-terminations (SrO-TiO2) SrTiO3
substrate based on my previous research, in the mean time assisted in perovskite substrate preparation for thin
film deposition by PVD.
Graphene growth on Cu foil by CVD and fabrication of Graphene-based hybrid system: I optimized the
growth and transfer of graphene. Then I focused on graphene-based hybrid system, under the guidance of a
graduate student. I assisted in investigating Graphene- Bi5FeTi3O15 thin film for magnetoelectrical property,
and conducted the project Graphene-TiO2 nanoparticle as a potential photo-detector, observing systems
resistance reaction to light irradiation. Whats more, I am now investigating Graphene-based ion liquid
gate FET and graphene-down conversion luminescence material sandwich structure.

Germanene growth on Au (111) by MBE characterized by XPS, LEED, STM: Under the supervision of Prof.
Hesjedal, I learned to operate the MBE system and relative surface characterization measurement. Then I
investigated the deposition of Bismuth on Au (111) as a surfactant to simplify Germanene structure, and the
LEED pattern showed simpler structure with single phase and less distortion, compared with the one in the
published literature.

Researched the hydrogenated Germanene for ARPES measurement preparation in Prof. Chens group
