The responsibilities of education in Chinas society and Americas is that in Chinas society the responsibility for
education is not a big thing because government has sole ownership of the people and their education is taken care of
by the government.
In America it is the law that children go to school. We have home school, public school, and private school. We have
choices in America that China does not. Yet China is becoming more open to the outside influence, traditional
teaching comes into conflict with Western ideas. (Vaughn, A : Early Ed. In China.)
Education is meant to keep society focused. It rules the nation and with it you understand mankind. Without it, all
societies are lost. There is no real push for education in China, yet in America it is the law for children of school age.

China is currently in the process of nationalizing its Nine-Year Compulsory
Education Program, which entails providing nine years of governmentfunded schooling to each child starting at the age of 6. Considering that
the average schooling of Chinese adults currently stands at 6.4 years, this
is will be a considerable improvement. Additionally, while literacy rates
have increased in past years, China still ranks 92nd out of 160 countries
in terms of literacy with a rate of only 86%.
While many schools in China continue to emphasize rote memorization,
theChinese Ministry of Educationhas begun to spread the use of grouplearning teaching techniques that focus on communication and
comprehension skills through the class as a whole.
