Alliances

It was morning and at Jacky and Larrys farm and Bill was walking
inside the house and walked into the living room and saw
Grandma June, Papa, Aunt Rena, Samantha Petti, and Gabe were
all in the living room and Bill asked Papa.
Bill: hey Dad have you seen Larry around?
Papa Dixon: hes out in the field training Alec, Loren, Lori, and
Shelly how to shoot.
Bill: ok thanks dad.
He said as he walked out the back sliding door and closed it and
as he stepped onto the small porch he looked out onto the open
farm and then heard the gun fire shots and then walked over next
to the house. Where the field was and saw Larry and Alec and the
others at the field with guns and Larry was saying.
Larry: ok now that was good but hears a lesson for you.
Alec shook his head yes and then Larry continued talking.
Larry: the trick about firing a pistol like yours is firing it straight.
Because if you dont fire it straight then the bullet can go
anywhere that you dont
Know. Go ahead and try it.
Alec aimed his pistol at a pole that was at the end of the field and
then he hit the target as he pulled the trigger of his gun. And after
he fired it 4 times and hit the target all the time and when he
finished firing he turned to Larry and then Larry said.
Larry: great shot.
Then Dennis said.

Dennis: yeah great shot kid maybe youre ready for the advanced
class with me and Michael.
Then Larry said.
Larry: why dont you go over there with your mom and grandma
while me and your Uncle Bill have a talk.
Alec: all right Larry.
He said as he walked over to Lori and Grandma Linda and then he
turned to Bill and Bill said.
Bill: we need to talk.
Larry: what dont we need to talk about.
He said as they both started to walk and Larry grabbed his shot
gun and started to talk with Bill as they made their way to his
garage and Bill said.
Bill: we need to start taking turns for when we go to sleep at night
because we can not only have one person watching over us for
the entire night.
Larry: are you trying to tell me something.
Bill: no Im just trying to say that maybe that you should not be
staying up so late at night and then sleeping so late during the
day.
Larry stopped walking and opened the side of his garage a little
and stood in the crack of the garage and said.
Larry: Ill put your thought into consedratition but for now Im
busy go back with your family while you still have them for now.
And I will think about what you just said.

He said as he closed the door to his garage and then left Bill
standing there and Bill walked away from the garage to where the
others were and sat down with them.
(Uncle Jimmys house)
(Morning)
As I woke up I looked around the room and saw that Robert,
Anthony and Sargent Jackson were still sleeping and then I spoke
to myself.
James: Ill let them sleep in for once they deserve it.
I said as I rolled over to get up and as I looked around the room I
noticed that Mr. Edwards, Ms. Drotis, Mrs. Coon, Mr. Riggs, and Mr.
Justice were all still sleeping in the basemen as well and then I got
up off the couch. And I grabbed my hat and I put it on as I walked
up the stairs. And as I walked into the living room I saw John and
Steve still at working on the C.B. radio and then I said.
James: I dont get why you guys are still messing with that thing
its useless trying to find other survivors with that because how
many other survivors do you think will have a long range C.B.
radio?
John and Steve both looked at me and John said.
John Clarkson: its better then not trying to see if were the only
survivors on this planet.
And Steve added to that.
Steve: you did rescue 20 to 30 other people that you didnt think
would survive at Thurston.
James: true true but that doesnt mean that there will be other
survivors in the world.

They both went back to work on the radio and then I walked into
the kitchen and Grandma Gac, Julie Jeffries, Bonny, Christy, and
Cherrie who was holding onto Allie and Johns mom and Dad, and
Natalie, and Danny, were sitting at the table. And Lisa, Sally, Amy,
and Aunt Janet were all standing and cleaning the kitchen and I
said.
James: morning.
They all said Morning back to me and then I said.
James: how are you all doing on this fine according to my Ipod.
I said as I pulled out my Ipod touch and it read Tuesday 9:35 am
and I said.
James: on this fine Tuesday morning.
They all said back again at the same time Good. Then I said.
James: thats good Ive got some business to take care of you
ladies and Mom stay in hear while I go take care of it.
I said as I walked out the back sliding door and then as I walked
out I heard Danny ask Lisa.
Danny: hey mom is it ok if me and Natalie go walking through the
camp for a while.
And then everyone in the room looked at Lisa and then Lisa said.
Lisa: ok son as long as you have Joe or Larry keep a close eye on
you 2.
Then Danny got a smile on his face and then he said.
Danny: thanks mom common Natalie.

He said as he grabbed her arm and then rushed pass me out the
door and I walked to the edge of the porch and I watched as Uncle
Jimmy was still using that pitch fork in the fire wood and saw
Uncle Pat, General Herman, Uncle Greg, and Larry sit down at the
pick nick table and begin to talk as I watch the other students that
I rescued sit in chairs around the camp fire. And I walked down
the steps of the porch and as I was walking towards the fire. I was
joined by Anthony, Sargent Jackson, and Robert as we made our
way to the pick nick tables.
And Pat said.
Pat: finally we can get this ammo problem solved.
Then I said.
James: if you would come with me please.
I said as they followed me to my car and I opened the back of it
and gave Pat 2 duffel bags, and gave 2 more to General Herman.
And then I walked up to the back door of my car and opened it
and I took the 2 duffel bags and we set them all down on the
tables and everyone gathered around us and I said as I started to
open the bags.
James: like I said earlier you should of bought this gun and ammo
shortage up earlier because a few days ago when we were trying
to get to the boat we robbed a good gun store. Hear you go.
I said as I pumped a shot gun with a brown but and handed it to
General Herman and I said.
James: 8 gage shot gun I just loaded it for you.
Then Pat was stunned and then said.
Pat: how many rounds do we have hear in these bags.
James: over a thousand and there all sorted so were good. I say
line the guns up on these tables and have people take 2 to 3 guns
per person.

Then Pat said.

Pat: all right we will do that.
Then as the kids started to swarm the tables me Anthony and
Sargent Jackson started to walk away and then I looked over to
the kid that said that my bus idea was a good idea and I stopped
walking and I said.
James: hey you.
The kid stopped talking to Eric and looked over to me and pointed
his hand at himself and then I said again.
James: yeah you come on over here.
I said as I waved my hand and then he ran over to me and then
said.
Kid: yeah whats the matter?
James: about a few days ago you said that us taking a bus out of
the school and getting to safety was a good idea right.
The kid looked at me and then he said.
Kid: right.
James: I didnt get your name by the way whats your name?
The kid looked at me and then he said.
Kid: the name is Tony Tony J Gabba is my name.
I looked at Anthony then Robert and Sargent Jackson and then I
said.

James: Tony I like you. Give me some time to think and maybe
you can join my group along with Sargent Jackson, Anthony, and
Robert.
Tony looked at me and then he said.
Tony Gabba: thanks James let me know when you decide knowing
the stories around the group about you and your group will
definitely want me joing it thank you for calling me over.
I smiled and said as I put my hand on his shoulder.
James: thats good for you now go over there and get yourself a
nice gun or a sword from those bags.
Tony smiled and said.
Tony Gabba: ok James.
He said as he ran off to Eric Chestnut again and Eric said.
Eric Chestnut: what did James call you over there for?
Then Tony looked at me as we were walking towards the barn.
Tony Gabba: he wanted to know my name Eric.
Then Eric looked at me and then said.
Eric Chestnut: classic James never tells us what and why he does
what he does.
Before I walked into the red barn I whistled up to Mark and
Michael Watson and Michael said.
Michael Watson: whats up?
I tossed up a box of riffle bullets and then another box and he
caught both of them and he said. As he was looking at the boxes
of bullets.

Michael Watson: thanks.

I walked into the barn and so did Anthony, Robert, and Sargent
Jackson. And back on the roof of the barn Mark asked.
Mark Clamming: what did he give you?
Then Michael tossed him one of the boxes of bullets and then he
caught them and then he said.
Mark Clamming: God Dam.
He said looking at the box of bullets.
In the farm house I walked up to Uncle Jimmy who was practicing
kung fu and then I said.
James: I didnt know that you knew Kung Fu?
Uncle Jimmy stopped in the middle of a flip and fell to the floor
and then he stood up surprised and then said.
Uncle Jimmy: well its always something that Ive wanted to do in
case we get over run and I dont happen to have my shot gun
with me I can pull out some numchucks and go crazy on those
walkers with them.
Then Anthony said.
Anthony: youre good at it though Ill give you that.
Then Uncle Jimmy said as he threw down some of his gloves he
had on into a chair and grabbed his coat and said.
Uncle Jimmy: thanks kid so what did you gentlemen come to talk
with me about?
He said as he started to walk to the front of the barn to grab his
shot gun and I said.

James: we are going to teach people how to use a gun and we

dont see a place where we could practice shooting.
Then Jimmy said.
Uncle Jimmy: come with me.
He said as we walked out of the barn and we got into his red jeep
and as we all got in Pat walked up to us and asked.
Pat: where are you 5 going?
Uncle Jimmy: Im going to show James a safe place where you
guys can practice shooting.
Pat: ok just dont take long because I dont want to be left alone
with a group of people who have guns for a long time.
Sargent Jackson was the last one in the car and closed the door
and Jimmy started his engine and said.
Uncle Jimmy: we wont be long.
He said as he drove around in a circle and went up a rode that
was behind the barn and then he was gone. Lisa was walking
down from the house and as Larry was walking to the house she
stopped and asked him.
Lisa: hey have you seen Natalie or Danny around?
Larry was holding on to his shot gun and then said.
Larry: no Lisa I havent.
Lisa: ok.
She said as she started to walk off and then Larry turned back and
said.

Larry: I can walk around a try and find them if you want.
Lisa turned back around and then said.
Lisa: no Larry I dont want you to go missing to.
She said as she walked off and Larry went into the house and Lisa
went to the R.V. and she stopped outside the door and asked Joe
who was still on the roof and said.
Lisa: have you seen Danny and Natalie around I want them back
because they have been gone way far too long.
Joe turned and pointed to where the tall grass was on the other
side of the R.V. was and Lisa walked to the front side of the R.V.
and Lisa saw Danny showing Natalie a glock 7 and Lisa walked all
the way over there and as she was taking the gun she said.
Lisa: what in the hell are you doing with that gun.
Danny: they were giving the guns away out there and during all
the confusion with the guns I took one.
Lisa took the gun and then said.
Lisa: well there should have been an adult watching you.
Danny: but I but but
Lisa: no buts out of you come with me.
She said as she took him by the arm and then yelled out to
Natalie.
Lisa: Natalie come with me to.
As we were driving to get to the place where we could practice
shooting Uncle Jimmy turned the wheel and he said.

Uncle Jimmy: it should just be right around Ah here it is.

He said as I leaned forward in the front seat and said.
James: its perfect.
We pulled right into a huge open field and there were trees that
were on the edges that made its square like shape. And the grass
was clean and green and there was a tree fallen down that
stretched from one side of the field to the other and we stopped
the car by the fallen tree at the other end of the field and we all
got out and Sargent Jackson walked backwards as we got to the
tree. To watch out for any walkers and I said.
James: its perfect.
Then Robert said.
Robert: yeah we know we heard you say it in the car.
Anthony: it is perfect though we can use that fallen tree and set
up cans and have people shoot them from the other end of the
field.
James: thats just what I was thinking but we need to separate the
people as small groups because there are so many of us.
Sargent Jackson: I can take a group. Robert can take a group and
so can Anthony and you.
Anthony: I can also take some people that got the extra
crossbows and teach them how to use them in a separate group
as well.
Uncle Jimmy: and I along with Uncle John can teach people how to
use the sword and Brent, Pat, and General Herman can watch the
camp along with the wives so no one can take the camp while
were gone.

James: ok we have a plan now lets get back to the group and talk
it out with them.
I said as we all started to get back in the jeep and we started to
make our way back at the camp. Back at the camp Lisa put
Natalie and Danny in the Basement with Mr. Edwards, Mrs. Coon,
Ms. Drotis, Mr. Riggs, and Mr. Justice and she said to Danny.
Lisa: Stay hear Im going to have a word with your father about
this.
She said as she made her way up stairs and found John and Steve
still at the C.B. Radio and she tossed the glock 7 on the coffee
table in the living room and Steve and John both looked up and
John asked.
John Clarkson: whats this about?
Lisa: your son is out of control you have to talk to him.
She said as she walked away into the kitchen.
John looked at Steve and John said.
John Clarkson: why dont you man down the fort I got to handle
this Ill be right back.
Steve: take all the time you need.
John picked up his brown sheriffs hat and grabbed the glock as he
walked to the basement he said.
John Clarkson: itll be quick.
He got to the basement Natalie walked over to Mr. Edwards and
the others who decided to play a game of pool and John took a
seat next to his son and said.
John Clarkson: you know what you did without asking us is wrong.

Danny just looked at the ground and then he kept talking.

John Clarkson: why did you do it son I just want to know why.
Danny: they were giving away guns and I wanted to protect
myself the other kids were doing it.
John looked at him and then said.
John Clarkson: I dont care what the other kids were doing their
parents are all dead yours arent so you have to listen to us.
Danny still looked at the ground and John continued.
John Clarkson: Im letting you off with a warning but if you want a
weapon to protect yourself then here.
John reached into the back of his pants pocket and pulled out a
single pocket knife with only the knife and called it out and closed
it and said.
John Clarkson: only use it when there is a walker around the camp
and if there is only one tell James, Joe, Josh, or me or your mom or
any other adult with a weapon in the camp.
Danny took the knife then asked.
Danny: what about Bruce and Jack?
John Clarkson: them to now go and play with Natalie me and
Steve have some business to take care of.
John put the glock 7 in the back of his pants and then walked up
the stairs as Danny ran over to Natalie and showed her his knife.
John walked back to where Steve was in the living room with the
radio and he tossed his hat on the table again and sat back down
in his seat and Steve said.
Steve: so what went on down there?

John Clarkson: we exchange words thats it nothing you dont

need to know.
Steve: so did you give him the gun?
John Clarkson: no I took it Im going to give it to Jack the next time
hes at the camp fire tonight.
Steve: kids these days will never learn.
As we got back to the camp Pat and General Herman walked up to
the jeep first and as I got out I saw Eric Chestnut trying to put one
of the 4 flame throwers on his back and I shouted.
James: ah Eric.
Eric stopped what he was doing and then looked at me.
James: guys save the flame throwers are only for when the group
gets attacked by hundreds of walkers so please leave them alone
and put all 4 of them in the barn.
Eric shook his head yes and he took 2 and so did Tony and they
both walked to the farm and put the flame throwers away and Pat
asked us.
Pat: so did you find a place?
We all got out of the red jeep and then I said.
James: yeah he showed us an amazing field to practice everything
that we need to learn.
Pat: thats great.
General Herman: and the sooner we can get these people using
weapons the better because the better hopes we have on
surviving an attack on the camp.
He said as they both walked away and then Anthony said.

Anthony: Ill take the first group that has the crossbows.
James: the crossbows can practice here the guns are our biggest
concern.
Anthony: ok.
He said as he walked off and then he shouted.
Anthony: all right if you have a crossbow come with me I will start
the basic training now.
Eric Chestnut, Randy, Dylan, Tyler Belles, and Savanna all walked
over to where Anthony was going to the front lawn to practice
using the arrow.
And then Sargent Jackson said.
Sargent Jackson: I guess thats my queue to take my group of
people now.
James: all right go ahead.
Then Sargent Jackson called out.
Sargent Jackson: ok anyone who has a gun or firing like weapon
come with me and we will begin our basic training meet my by
the bus now.
Matt Saseen, Stacy Elstone, Cody Eversole, Holden Huckestine,
Harry Oliver, Willie Polk, Doug Oliver, Nick Hindlighter, Zach, and
Garret Gana, all went with Sargent Jackson and they all had Shot
guns, Pistols or GLocks and Sargent Jackson started the bus and
they all got on and then he drove the bus down the back road
behind the farm and drove to the field and then Jimmy said.
Uncle Jimmy: now this is my queue.
He said as he walked off and said.

Uncle Jimmy: if you have a sword come with me and Uncle John
and meet us up at the barn.
Lane Miller was carrying 2 katanas, Jessica Johnson was holding a
butchers knife, Kailie Kennedy was carrying a hunters knife and,
Tony Gabba was holding onto a katana as well the same as Lane
and Justin Harmon was holding onto a sword and they all made
their way to the farm with Uncle Jimmy and Uncle John. And then I
asked Robert.
James: youre not going to teach anyone?
Robert looked at me and then said.
Robert: I have nothing to teach.
James: well ok.
I said as I started to walk off and he followed behind me and then
he said.
Robert: thanks.
I looked back at him confused and then I said.
James: ok youre welcome whats this about?
We continued walking to the house and then he said.
Robert: Im thanking you for saving mine and Anthonys life back
at the school if it werent for you we would all be dead right now.
James: oh why bring this up so late?
Robert: because if were attacked like you said we will be then I
might not make and if I dont make it then I would of died with not
thanking you for saving my life.
James: ok.

Robert: and how do you know that were going to get attacked?
We stopped outside the basement door and I said as we
continued walking to the door.
James: because in all of the zombie movies the camp always gets
attacked once or twice and Im preparing the group for when that
attack will happen.
Robert shook his head in agreement and said.
Robert: its your funeral.
He said as we walked into the house.
(Jacky and Larrys Farm)
(Sunset)
Bill was walking to the house again and as he walked into the
kitchen Lori, Shelly, Loren, and Jacky were all in the kitchen
cleaning and Bill asked Jacky.
Bill: hey Jacky have you seen Larry around?
Jacky: hes out in the farm with one of the horses.
Bill: thanks.
He said as he walked out the sliding glass back doors again and
Jacky said.
Jacky: that man is always wondering where my husband is.
Bill walked into the farm where Larry was petting one of his brown
horses and he said.
Bill: so have you thought about the switching between shifts at
night.

Larry looked up and said.

Larry: Ive thought about it and I do agree with you and I think
that you should take the first watch.
Bill looked at him and then said.
Bill: all right then I will begin my shift now.
He said as he walked out the barn and Larry shouted to him.
Larry: warn us if there is a coming heard of walkers.
Bill walked out and climbed to the roof of the house and sat on
the lawn chair and got out his sniper and sat there.
(Uncle Jimmys House)
(Sunset)
I was walking down to the fire pit were Mr. Edwards, Ms. Drotis,
Mrs. Coon, Mr. Riggs, and Mr. Justice, and Dr. Sargent were all
sitting around a growing fire and I walked over to where Joe was
standing on the R.V. by the fire and I asked him.
James: Joe have the others came back yet?
Joe looked down at me and he said.
Joe: no but dont start getting worried just yet they have only
been gone for 5 hours and they all have weapons they should be
back soon. Its stating to get dark out.
James: ok Joe oh and hear.
I said as I tossed him a box of sniper bullets and he said as he was
looking at them.
Joe: thanks James.
James: no problem.

I walked over to the fire where the others were and then Mr.
Edwards asked.
Mr. Edwards: hey Jimmy how you doing.
I looked at him and said.
James: Im doing just fine and how are you and the others doing?
Mr. Edwards: were all doing just fine as well.
Then Mrs. Coon said.
Mrs. Coon: its good to have a nights sleep without moaning or
groaning at the front door of your house.
James: tell me about it.
Then as I was looking at the fire Robert, Lisa, Danny, Natalie was
carrying one of Lolas puppies, Steve, John, Jared, Brent, Collin,
Greg, General Herman, Maria Garcia, and Sally all came out of the
house back door and made their way down to the fire and as they
came down I asked John.
James: so John hows the radio going?
John Clarkson: no we are going to give the radio one more day in
an hour or so me and Steve will head back up there and try one
more time.
Steve: theres got to be some survivors out there.
Everyone took a seat and Lisa sat next to her son Danny. And as
they sat down Uncle Jimmy, Lane Miller, Kailie Kennedy, Jessica
Johnson, Justin Harmon, and Uncle John, and Tony all came out of
the farm and they made their way to the fire as well. And as
Jimmy grabbed his pitch fork to mess with the fire I asked.
James: so how did the training go?

Tony answered instead of Jimmy.

Tony Gabba: it was not that good.
Then Uncle Jimmy answered me.
Uncle Jimmy: it was ok there were a few slip ups.
He said looking at Justin and then he continued.
Uncle Jimmy: but other than that it was ok.
James: thats good.
As I said that Anthony and his group started to come back from
the front yard and made their way to the fire and as they all sat
down at the fire I asked Anthony.
James: so did your group do any better than Jimmys group?
Anthony: yeah it was ok Randy is an actual better arrow user than
I thought.
He said as we all looked at Randy and then back at Anthony.
Anthony: it was a good day for practicing though.
James: thats good to hear that we have people that listen to
others for once.
I said looking at Dr. Sargent and then as I said that I heard and
saw the bus that Sargent Jackson was driving down the dirt road
and park the bus in its spot and then he opened the door and he
was the first one out and as people started to come off he said.
Sargent Jackson: great job. Good Job.

He said to people as they made their way to the fire and then
Justin asked Harry as Harry pulled a seat up next to Justin and
Garret.
Justin Harmon: so how did you guys do?
Garret Gana: well I did fine until this guy fired at the wrong tree
and almost killed the instructor.
Justin and Garret both looked at Harry and Harry said.
Harry Oliver: its not my fault that the sun was in me eyes.
Garret Gana: the sun was setting.
Harry Oliver: so.
Then Sargent Jackson came in and I asked.
James: so how did you guys do?
Sargent Jackson: we did fine up until that guy almost killed me
with his shot gun.
We all looked at Harry and then Harry said.
Harry Oliver: its not my fault the blast was more powerful than I
thought.
And as he said that Vincent and his dad came to the fire and
Vincent said.
Vincent: thats what she said.
And they joined the rest of us at the fire and then as we were all
by the fire Officer Cooper and his 2 cop buddies came out of the
house with Amy, Eddie, and Tommy. And they joined the fire with
the others. And as we were all talking about our day and having
fun I asked Joe.

James: hey Joe why dont you take a break from watching camp
because we have 3 other people watching and come join us.
Joe looked down at me and then shouted back.
Joe: Im perfectly fine up here guarding the camp.
Then Brent said.
Brent: com on Joe you need to know when to let loose and have
fun.
Then Joe said.
Joe: when your 65 years old you learn a thing or 2 when you have
fun and drink at the same time.
Then Josh was watching us from the roof of the house and
contacted him through his walkie talkie.
Josh Coe: its ok if you go down there Joe.
Then Joe picked up his walkie talkie and said.
Joe: are you sure?
Josh Coe: yes Im sure me, Michael and Mark got things handled
for now right Mark and Michael?
Then Michael and Mark both talked into their walkie talkies at the
same time and said to Joe.
Michael Watson: yeah me and Mark got things good up hear right
Mark.
Mark Clamming: yep we sure do.
Joe the nodded his head at Josh and then Mark and Michael
nodded their heads at Joe to and Joe started to climb down the

back latter on the R.V.. With his sniper on his back and joined the
others at the camp fire.
In the house Aunt Janet, Christy Watson, Bonny, Britney, and her
boy friend Paul were all in the kitchen playing a game of cards
and talking while sitting at the kitchen table. When Grandma Gac
came in and took a seat next to Paul.
Christy Watson: hi mom.
Grandma Gac: he low.
She said as she set her can against the wall behind her and
grabbed the deck of cards and she asked.
Grandma Gac: so what are we playing?
Bonny: we are playing a game of youker.
Grandma Gac: I havent played that game since are last family
Christmas.
Christy Watson: yeah I miss those days.
Grandma Gac: so why are we waiting?
Britney Valente: Bonnys husband Michael went to use the
bathroom.
Grandma Gac: so Michael Valente went to the bathroom so since
hes in there can we start a new game because I want to play with
you guys.
Paul: sure we can restart.
Back at the fire I was talking to the family about what we are
going to do tomorrow.

James: all right everyone settle down its time to talk about what
were going to do tomorrow now.
Everyone stopped talking and looked at me.
James: we are going to do some more training tomorrow since we
did so well today you will split up in the same groups that you
were in today. And hopefully youll get better at the swords, or
firing guns and crossbows.
And Sargent Jackson added to that.
Sargent Jackson: and hopefully Harry wont blow my brains out
tomorrow like he almost did today my god you could have not
been mistaken for Dick Chaney for firing a gun.
Harry Oliver: once again its not my fault I didnt know how much
blast that 8 gage shot gun would give me.
Then Jared who was sitting next to Brent said.
Jared: its not a toy or in one of your video games it will hurt or kill
you if you dont think thats why you have to deal with a gun like
yours with safety.
The Andrew added on to that.
Andrew Gac: yeah Ive fired a 6 gage shot gun before and it will
blow you back if you dont know what you are doing.
Then Adam Gac said.
Adam Gac: when did you fire a shot gun?
Andrew Gac: when dad took us on that hunting trip a few years
ago.
Carlyon looked at Greg and Carlyon said.

Carlyon Gac: you promised me that they wouldnt touch a gun.

Greg Gac: I wanted to teach my son how to shoot a deer its not
that bad now because its the end of the world and now his
shooting is a good thing now.
Carlyon Gac: were not going to talk about this in front of
everyone will talk about this in our tent tonight.
Greg Gac: all right honey.
I decided I would check up on Steve and John in the house and I
walked away from the fire and put my hat on as I walked on the
hill to get to the house.
And when I got to the porch I opened the sliding glass doors and
saw the people playing cards and they all said high and then I
said.
James: hi everyone.
I said as I walked pass the table and over to the living room where
John and Steve were and as I walked in there I said.
James: so hows the search for survivors going?
Steve: we have nothing just static.
Then John looked up from the C.B. and said.
John Clarkson: weve got muffled sounds of another group that
always seems to be arguing.
James: oh let me hear.
I said as I kneeled down and John switched the channel to channel
23 and I heard the other group.
(other group)
Person 1: we need to. Get.. Some.. More.. People. To.

End transition
John Clarkson: see I told you that there were survivors out there
other than this large group.
James: Im sorry I had my doubts about you 2 but youve done it.
So what are you trying to do now?
Steve: were trying to make the signal stronger so we can get
contact with them.
John Clarkson: they dont sound like there so far away maybe a
few cities away from us but not that far.
James: thats good and when you guys get a hold of them tell me
right away because I need to listen to them to make sure there
not that bad kind of group.
John Clarkson: ok James.
Steve: you can go back to your family now.
James: ok keep up the good work guys.
I said as I walked out to the sliding glass doors out onto the porch
and leaned on the ledge and just watch as the other people were
having fun down at the camp fire.
(Jacky and Larrys farm)
(Night)
Dennis Jr, and Shawn Workmen were watching on the roof
together and Bill was walking to the group by the fire and still saw
Dennis, Michael, and Billy all working on their C.B. radio and
around the fire were Shelly, Lori, Alec, Loren, Gabe, and Katelyn,
Papa Dixon, Granma June, Grandma Linda, and Jacky, and Larry,
and Aunt Ranay, Beth and Rich and Samantha. And then Bill said
to Dennis.

Bill: youre still messing with that thing.

Dennis: there are more people out there I know it.
Bill: and how do you know that there are other groups?
Michael Soelz: because earlier today we heard a brief 5 minutes
of an argument between a group of people on channel 23 and
after the 5 minuets the transition ended.
Bill: so there are others out there.
Dennis: could be and one of them sounded like your son James.
Michael Soelz: we believe that he survived and is trying to do the
same thing we are with the C.B. and we now are staying on that
channel and Dennis is trying to make the signal stronger.
Bill: well you guys keep doing that tell me when you need any
help.
Dennis: we sure will Bill.
Bill walked over to the fire and sat down next to Larry and Lori
said.
Lori: Bill your son maybe alive arent you excited for when they
get the signal?
Bill stared at the fire and then looked up at Lori and said.
Bill: it would be great.
(Uncle Jimmys house)
(Night)
I was the only one awake at 3 in the morning besides Josh and the
other snipers and I decided to talk to Josh since I couldnt sleep.

And as I climbed the side of the house Josh was sitting in his chair
when I got fully on the roof of the house and he said.
Josh Coe: James come on up.
I walked over to Josh and took my shot gun out of my duster and
held it in my hand and said.
James: thanks.
Josh Coe: any time you did organize us surviving after all with the
great renting a boat idea.
James: yeah Im just happy that you got to come to the boat early
Im sorry about your wife and kids though.
Josh Coe: its not your fault she wanted to be with her side of the
family instead of with me and our side of the family.
James: its ok Josh as long as you have us were your family to
remember.
Josh Coe: thats also true my mom and brothers survived and
thats what matters now but besides that fact why are you up at 3
in the morning.
James: I couldnt sleep too much on my mind.
I said as I looked out among the group and saw a bunch of tents
in the back yard and saw that no one else was awake but me and
the snipers and John and Steve working on the radio.
Josh Coe: Ive had those nights where I cant sleep and Im wide
awake.
I know what your going through being the leader of about 60 or
70 people thats tough but your doing it just fine I dont think that
the others can argue on how good of a leader you are.
James: that I can agree on with you but I do like having Uncle Pat
back me up on what choices I make for everyone.

Josh Coe: hes a good leader of the group to when youre not hear
with your small group of people you travel with.
James: thats good to hear that hes not letting the Im the main
guy get to his head you know. Youve seen the walking dead
right?
Josh Coe: yeah one of the best shows on T.V. before it ended right
after the first season to.
James: I picture pat as the Rick Grimes of our group dont you.
Josh Coe: yeah he is like a Rick kind of person but what it all
comes down to is you being in charge of everyone.
James: thats true as well it does really come up to me being in
charge of the group.
I started to walk off and before I started to climb down the house I
put my shot gun in my coat again and I said to Josh.
James: if the group ever starts to lose hope in me youll have my
back right?
Josh had to think about that answer and then he said.
Josh Coe: I will always be on your side James and thats all you
need to worry about.
James: thanks.
I said as I made my way down the side of the house and when I
got to the ground I saw Joe standing on the Roof of the R.V. and
then I decided to go over and talk to him as well. As I walked to
the front of the R.V. I said.
James: do you mind if you get some company up there.

I said as I started to make my way to the latter on the back of the

trailer and he said.
Joe: no its always good to have company around in my book.
Joe set down the book he was reading and then I walked on the
roof of the R.V. and sat next to him on the ground and he said.
Joe: why are you
James: I cant sleep and Ive already talked to Josh and I know him
already who I dont know is you so since Im wide awake Im going
to tell you about who I am and then youre going to tell me who
you are and what you did before all this happened.
Joe: all right where do I start?
James: any where tell me what job you did before you retired.
Joe: ok well I was a door to door sales man.
I looked at him and laughed and I said.
James: I cant see a nice old guy like you in a suit going around
your city and selling stuff.
Joe: its true there were interesting people that would come to the
door and a bounch would just not answer the door as well.
James: well I got you where people slammed the door in your face
this is Michigan after all.
Joe: tell me about it.
James: anything else I should know?
Joe: my wife she died of cancer 7 years ago before the walker
virus broke out and ever since then she gave me this neck lace
that I will always ware.

James: Im sorry about your death Joe.

Joe: its all right its the natural order of things and besides it was
her time to go. Enough about me I want to get to know the leader
of our group.
James: well Im 14 almost 15 I came up with the plan where my
family should stay on the boat and go to this place. Ive seen
every zombie movie that has ever been written only the good
zombie movies, over the summer I would watch T.V. shows at
night with my mom and that basically describes my life.
Joe: all right James its nice that I got to know who you are a little
well then that guy in the fancy hat and leather duster.
I shook his hand and said.
James: and Im glad that I got to know you a little better to Joe
you seem like an all right guy.
I stood up and I looked at my IPod and said.
James: whoa look at the time.
It read 4:00 am and Joe asked.
Joe: what time is it?
James: its 4 in the morning Im going to try in sleep and Im
finally going to get a shower in the morning.
I said as I climbed down the latter and then Joe said.
Joe: Ive got to get some sleep to.
He said as he climbed down the latter after me and as he went
inside the R.V. we both said.

James: good night.

I made my way up the hill and Joe said good night and went inside
the R.V. and saw Johns parents sleeping on the table that turned
into a bed and he made his way to the beds in the back. And as I
got into the house I fell asleep on the couch that I have always
fallen asleep on and Anthony, Robert, and Sargent Jackson were
all in the basement as well as the teachers and they were already
asleep.
And I went to sleep.
(Morning)
Anthony was the first one awake and he saw that I was still asleep
and he decided that I need some sleep and went up the stairs and
he Saw Steve and John asleep next to their C.B. radio and then he
smiled and said to John.
Anthony: John Steve
They didnt wake up and then Anthony said.
Anthony: John Steve wake up.
Steve woke up first and said.
Steve: Is it morning already?
Then John woke up and said. With a stretch of his arms.
John Clarkson: what time is it?
Anthony put his crossbow on his back and looked at his watch and
he said.
Anthony: Its about 7:00am.
Steve: wow we slept in late.

Anthony looked at him and then John said.

John Clarkson: before the fall me and Steve would meet at
Dannys school playground at 5:00am and would jog for 2 to 3
hours a day.
Steve: the boss hear says that it would be good exercise for the
force.
And Anthony looked at John and he said.
John Clarkson: well it did didnt it?
Anthony: ok you guys can keep your ritual just keep me out of it.
He said as he walked off to the bathroom and when he was done
in there he turned the bathroom water sink on and he looked at
himself in the mirror and said.
Anthony: ok just dont lose your fokse to day youre a go getter
now pull yourself together Allen youre an Allen and a fighter also
youre a christen so keep up the faith in you and your group.
He said as he splashed some cold water on his face and grabbed
his crossbow and walked out the door and walked through the
kitchen and out through the sliding glass door and was on the
porch and he walked up to the bar and leaned on it and looked
out among the back yard. And saw Eric talking with Tony, Adrian
and Donavan by there tents and saw Uncle Jimmy and Aunt Janet
walk from the fire pit to were he was and as they got to the porch
he asked.
Anthony: what are you guys doing?
Uncle Jimmy opened the glass door and Aunt Janet, General
Herman, Pat, and Greg all walked into the door and he said.
Uncle Jimmy: were going to climb on the roof and try and get the
satellite to work so we can see if there is still a news broad cast.

Anthony looked at him as he closed the door and Anthony walked

in behind him. And he said as Pat grabbed a box of tools.
Anthony: are you sure thats a good idea?
General Herman walked by him and he said.
General Herman: its better than sitting in the dark for years to
come.
They all went back outside and Anthony walked around the living
room and John asked.
John Clarkson: what are they doing?
Anthony: there trying to pin point the satellite to get a better
signal.
They both looked at him and then Anthony walked out of the room
and went to the side of the house and climbed it to the roof and
thats where Brent, Greg, General Herman, Pat, Uncle Jimmy and
Uncle John were messing with Jimmys satellite and then Anthony
said. As Josh was standing there and he also said.
Anthony: what are you people doing?
Josh Coe: I have nothing to say about this Im just up here doing
my job.
Then General Herman said.
General Herman: Ive already told you that were fixing this
satellite now shut up and let us do out work.
After he said that he spoke into a walkie talkie and asked.
General Herman: do you see anything now?
In the basement Officer Cooper was watching fuze on the giant
T.V. that was on the ground in the basement and he said.

Officer Cooper: no nothing yet try leaning it to the left 90 degrees.

General Herman told Brent.
General Herman: I need you to turn it 90 degrees to the left.
Brent, Pat, Uncle Jimmy, and Uncle John all turned the satellite to
the left and he asked Officer Cooper again.
General Herman: anything?
Officer Cooper was in the basement and still didnt see anything
through the T.V. and thats when he and General Herman both
said.
Office Cooper: Dam it.
General Herman: Dam it.
Thats when me and the others that were sleeping down stairs
woke up and Mr. Edwards said.
Mr. Edwards: morning everybody.
I was still on the couch and then I looked over to Officer Cooper
and I asked.
James: Officer Cooper whats the problem?
Officer Cooper: me and a few others are trying to get the satellite
to work so we can see if the news is trying to reach us. And so we
can call them if there still alive and get some military help
because we sure do need it.
I reached my hand out and said.
James: give it here.

I said as Officer Cooper gave me the walkie talkie and I spoke into
it and said.
James: who is this?
Then General Herman said.
General Herman: its General Herman who is this?
James: its the leader of the group wondering why you didnt plan
on telling me about what you guys are doing on the roof.
Pat was listing and then he took the walkie talkie and said.
Pat: it was my idea I didnt want us to die in the dark so I thought
that we could try and get some help.
James: Ive seen what the military has done to the public and it
wasnt pretty so I dont think that we need the military just yet.
They all stared at each other on the roof then I said.
James: is Anthony there?
General Herman took the walkie talkie back and said.
General Herman: yeah hes right here.
He said as he handed Anthony the walkie talkie and Anthony
spoke into it and he said.
Anthony: whats the problem now?
James: Im glad that youre up there keeping things under control
while Im gone sleeping.
Anthony: no problem James anything to help out my best friend.

James: hold down the fort up there because Im on my way up

after I take a nice shower.
Anthony: ok James.
He said as Anthony ended the conversation and then General
Herman said.
General Herman: what did he say?
Anthony: he said that Im in charge and that he will be up here
after he takes his shower.
General Herman: I didnt hear a no in that sentence so Bren since
the 90 degrees didnt work try left at 180 degrees.
They did that and in the basement everyone in the house had
woken up and only 3 people from the 10 different tents were
asleep.
I got out of the shower and put on my black whit stripped shirt
with my whit vest with light blue lines and I put on my green suit
coat and I put on my duster and I stared in the mirror for a minute
and then I put on my glasses and then I put my revolver in the
side of my pants and then I put my shot gun in the pocket inside
my duster.
I walked out of the bathroom and as I walked out I grabbed my
hat but didnt put it on and I still saw Officer Cooper at the T.V.
and I said.
James: nothing.
Officer Cooper: still nothing.
I walked up the stairs and then Cooper said to himself.
Officer Cooper: I know youre out there please come on.

As I walked into the living room I saw John and Steve still on the
C.B. radio and I said.
James: morning you guys.
John Clarkson: morning James.
Steve: morning Steve.
John Clarkson: so did you have a good nights sleep?
James: I did John thanks for asking how about you did you get that
C.B. working right yet?
Steve: no weve been working on it for days now and were nor
getting it so far.
John Clarkson: but were close to getting a clear signal on channel
23 like we told you yesterday.
James: I remember the one where we heard people talking.
John Clarkson: thats the one.
Then I said.
James: all right lll leave you guys to this but now I have to take
care of some business.
John Clarkson: no rest for the wicked.
He said as I walked into the kitchen and then I made my way out
the sliding glass door and put on my hat as I walked out onto the
grass and Tony ran up to me saying.
Tony Gabba: James I have something to tell you.
I held up my arm and started to climb side of the house and I
said.

James: not now Tony tell me later Im better.

As I got to the roof of the building I got to Anthony and he said.
Anthony: hey James.
I stopped in my tracks as I saw then start to pick up the satellite
and then I said.
James: what in the hell are they doing?
Anthony: there trying to move the satellite to another spot to see
if that was the problem the whole time.
James: oh that would explain why they are trying to move a heavy
metal object.
I walked over to Josh who was watching them move the satellite
and I said.
James: I thought that this was your post why didnt you come to
me the first thing you heard that they were moving something
that could hurt them and or others.
Josh Coe: I was trying to stop them but he is a 4 star General and
Im just a Sargent he out ranks me in every way in the army or
out of the army.
James: but when Im around I give you the highest authority.
Josh Coe: yes but once again hes my boss not the other way
around.
After they got the satellite were they wanted it Pat said.
Pat: all right Brent and Uncle John start screwing it back into the
group.

Brent and Uncle John bent down and Pat walked over to me and
he said.
Pat: hopefully we will get a stronger at the other end of his house
than in its original spot.
I looked at him and said.
James: we still havent solved the problem where you did
something and didnt tell me.
Pat: all were doing is trying to watch the news.
James: thats not the problem the problem is that you didnt tell
me what you were doing.
Pat: and why does that matter?
James: because if you were taking these people into the city then
you guys would get attacked by a walker and I wouldnt know
what to do.
Pat: but we werent going to the city though and we would kill the
walker or walkers if they are in a group or more.
James: you havent seen walkers in action or killed enough
walkers like I have so dont go saying shit like you just did.
Pat: once again were not going into the city though.
I started to get mad and then I said.
James: I cant handle you right now.
I said as I held my arm out and walked away and as I was walking
away Josh said.
Josh Coe: James Im really sorry that this just happened now but...
I cut him off and I said.

James: just stay here and keep an eye on them I cant handle
those people any more.
I walked by Anthony and said.
Anthony: come on.
I said as I kneeled down and me and Anthony started to climb
down the side of the house and when we got to the ground me
and Anthony walked to the basement door and Anthony said.
Anthony: what are we going to do now?
James: we are going to do what Officer Cooper is doing and wait
for a signal to come through the T.V.
We walked into the basement of the house and the teachers, and
Mr. Smith and Mr. Biggermen were all playing some pool again
and me and Anthony sat down on one of the couches and Robert
and Sargent Jackson were already sitting on the other couch.
As I sat down Tony Gabba, Eric Chestnut, Adrian Croft, and
Donvivan Dixon all came into the basement and Tony came up to
me and he said.
Tony Gabba: James I got something to tell you.
I looked up at him and I said.
James: what is it Tony?
Tony Gabba: so did you think about letting me join your small
group yet?
I looked over at Anthony and he nodded his head yes then I
looked over at Robert and Sargent Jackson and they both nodded
their heads yes and then I said. And shook his hand.

James: congratulations Tony you are now officially a part of the

Gac family group.
Welcome to the group.
I said with a smile and then he asked.
Tony Gabba: thanks James.
He turned to Eric and thats when Eric said.
Eric Chestnut: come on Adrian and Donivivan lets leave this group
alone.
He said as the 3 started to go to the back door and then Adrian
said.
Adrian Croft: but I want to see what the amazing group does next.
He said as Eric pulled him away from the door and they went to
the fire Pit and then Tony took a seat on the floor and we watched
the T.V. and as Officer Cooper flipped through the channels he got
said into the Walkie talkie.
Officer Cooper: weve got a connection.
I stood up and said.
James: those crazy bastards were right.
I stood up and as I was watching it was the channel 2 news team
and Officer Cooper spoke into his walkie talkie and said.
Officer Cooper: Ive never been so happy to watch the news in my
life.
Everyone on the roof were clapping and cheering and then
General Herman spoke into the walkie talkie.
General Herman: we will be right down.

He said with a smile and then he hugged Pat and said.

General Herman: lets go watch the news guys.
They all started to climb down the side of the house one by one
they all came into the living room basement and General Herman
was the last in the basement he yelled out to the camp.
General Herman: if you want to see the news come in here now.
Eric, Adrian, Donivivan, Maria, Savanna, Tyler, Lane, Jessica and
Kailie came into the house and the teachers stopped playing
there game of pool and Mr. Smith said.
Mr. Smith: the news stopped after 3 days when the outbreak
happened Im glad that they werent killed.
News reporter: we have just lost contact with the white house
and the chief of staff. They have been reported that the president
along with ex President George Bush and Bill Clinton that they
were still packing in the white house when they got over run.
The news reporter put her hand by her ear and then she said.
News reporter: we just got word that Channels 3, 4, and 6 just got
over run we are the last ones left we will keep online until help
arrives or when we run out of fuel this is Chole Addison with the
Channel 2 news I will be right back with more information.
James: its the end of the world and they still have to take a break
during all of this.
Then all of a sodden Steve came running down the stairs and
said.
Steve: James we got a connection and he says that hes your
father.

I got up off the couch and looked at him and then he looked at the
T.V. and said.
Steve: is that the news?
Officer Cooper: after a few hours while working we got the dish to
work.
After Steve said that he walked up the stairs and then I walked up
after him.
And as I got to the living room John was sitting there and he stood
up and said.
John Clarkson: James I told you that there would be other
survivors its your father.
I took the part of the C.B. he was holding onto and we all sat
down and I said.
James: dad this James.
(Jacky and Larrys farm)
Everyone was gathered around there C.B. and they were all happy
and Bill said.
Bill: James this is Bill your father.
I sat all the way back in my seat with a sigh of relief and then I
spoke again.
James: thank god youre alive.
Everyone on Jacky and Larrys farm high fived each other and
Dennis said to Bill.
Dennis: see I told you that if we kept trying that we would
eventually find other survivors.

Then as I talked into the C.B. and I said.

James: is everyone with you where are you at?
Bill: Im fine Great grandma and Papa are here and so is everyone
else and were at Jacky and Larrys house where are you and your
group?
James: we are at Uncle Jimmys place and everyone on moms side
of the family survived to and so did Grandma Gac as well.
Bill: thank god that you and your brothers are all right.
Just as he said that Pat and Julie burst into the living room and
Julie asked.
Julie Jeffries: James have you seen Evan?
She said as she looked nervously at me and I said.
James: no Aunt Julie I havent shouldnt he have been with
Mitchell, Shaun or Katy during what we had to go through.
Pat: we already asked our other sons and Jared doesnt know
where he is either.
James: then we have to go looking for him dont we then.
(Highway)
(Middle of nowhere)
Evan was walking with his shot gun in his left hand and he was
dragging his feet and his mouth was dry and he was talking to
himself because the heat got to him.
Evan Jeffries: what have I done to deserve this?
He said as he stopped walking and then he dropped to his knees
and dropped his shot gun and he said.

Evan Jeffries: I know that I suffered Ive sinned but we all sin.
He said as he looked around and then he said.
Evan Jeffries: please just let it rain just once.
He said as he looked up and he saw a figure walking towards him
but it wasnt a walker as it got closer to him it was Snoop dog and
he said.
Snoop Dog: get your lazy white ass up brother.
He said as he kneeled down and then he said.
Snoop Dog: youre the last of your family and as long as you live
your blood line will survive.
Evan looked at him and as Snoop Dog was about to hit him Evan
shouted back.
Evan Jeffries: I can do it.
As he stood up Snoop Dog was gone as he kept walking he
stopped in front of a dock and said.
Evan Jeffries: my god Ive found you.
He said as the camera zoomed out and it was a big house on a
dock and there were no walkers around and he stood up and
started walking to the house.
End scene.
