PGP or Post Graduates Programme in Management is a two-year full-time
residential course offered by IIMs in India for graduates from any educational
background planning for a career in the field of management. In the year 2014, this
programme earned the 16th position in the World under the Masters in Management
category by the Financial Times.
Eligibility to apply:
Applicants must be UG degree holders with a minimum of 50% of marks or its
equivalent CGPA (relaxed by 5% for reserved category candidates) from any
university incorporated by an act of the Central or state legislature in the country.
Also, graduates from deemed universities framed under law are also eligible to
apply. This graduation must have been obtained under a three-year programme,
which must have been done in 10+2+3/4 format. Candidates in the final year of
their degree course and also those awaiting results are also eligible to apply.
Admission procedure for PGP batch 2016-18:
The admission is a two-step process, wherein at the first step, candidates will be
short-listed for Academic Writing Test and Personal Interview. However, candidates
with valid CAT 2015 score will alone be considered for shortlisting of candidates.
Only candidates with specific cut-off percentages in three sections in the CAT 2015
examination will be considered for further rounds of selection process. Accordingly,
the following table shows the minimum cut-off of CAT 2015 percentile ranks:
