Chapter 1-8 Reflections

o Chapter One:
This chapter was based on Segment Addition and at the beginning this topic
was a little challenging for me. But as we got more into things, it wasnt so bad. My
weakness was remembering how to set up the equation. But after I took enough
notes I got much better at solving the problems.
o Chapter Two:
In this chapter we talked about Reasoning & Proof in this chapter I learned
the difference between deductive and inductive reasoning along with the Law of
detachment. I really didnt have any weakness in this chapter. It was simple to me.
o Chapter Three:
In this chapter I learned about Parallel lines cut by a Transversal. This was
one of the easy chapters for me because Ive already learned this in Algebra 1 last
year. So, this chapter I didnt have any weaknesses. We also talked about Slope
And Distance and in this part of the chapter was a little hard for me, because I
really didnt get this In Algebra 1.
o Chapter Four:
In this chapter I learned about Triangles & Congruence, in this chapter my
strengths were classifying the triangles, finding their measures, and the missing
lengths. This was one of the easy chapters for me.
o Chapter Five:
This chapter was about special Segments & Inequalities, and in this chapter
I learned about angle bisector , median, and perpendicular bisector. I also learned
about Inscribed and circumscribed circle. My strengths were the perpendicular
bisector and the median of the right triangle. But my weaknesses were the Inscribed
and circumscribed circles, because I couldnt get it right.
o Chapter Six:
This was the easiest chapter ever. We talked about Quadrilaterals, and it
wasnt bad at all. But once we started talking about polygons, things got a little
challenging for me. But it wasnt too hard for me. When we did the polygon
hierarchy, it really helped me with this chapter.
o Chapter Seven:
Chapter seven which was on Polygons & similarity was another easy
chapter. Because it was basically classifying figures, finding the sum of the measure
of interior and exterior angles, knowing the difference between concave and
convex, and regular and irregular polygons. The only weaknesses I had in this
chapter was if I tried to work too fast, and I make a tiny mistake.

o Chapter Eight:
In this chapter we talked about Right Triangles & Trigonometry the
trigonometry part was easy, but once we started talking about special right angles
it was hard for me. With all of the labelling and formulas. So most of my strengths
were in the second part of the chapter. But in the first part, it was hard for me to do.
But I got through it.
