Compact Charger-Maintainer + Regulated 12Vdc power supply.

The AccuMate Compact is configured for direct plugging in to a wall socket.

Applications

A compact 0,6A smart charger-maintainer with AccuMate IUoU battery-interactive charging algorithm.
A 12Vdc regulated power supply to power any 12Vdc appliance with up to 0,6A current.
Supports a cars electronic systems during battery replacements (lighting and audio systems isolated).
Recharge the NiCd, NiMH, Li-Ion batteries in portable devices requiring a 12Vdc charger input.

The casing can easily be

rotated through 90
relative to the socket pins
so as to clear obstructions
close to the wall socket.

Selection by slide switch : Multi-stage charging Regulated 12Vdc power supply.

Multi-stage charging program

1) Initialisation : To start the program the battery must measure >2V immediately on connection of the charger.
2) Bulk Charge stage : Delivers a 0,6A constant current until the battery voltage reaches the limit of 14,3V.
3) Absorption stage : The voltage is held at 14,3V until the current drawn by the battery reduces below 300mA.
4) Maintenance mode : Float charge with voltage limited at 13,5V (+/- 0.1V).
The battery-interactive circuit triggers reversion to the absorption stage if the
current the battery needs in maintenance mode starts to exceed 300mA.
LED Indications :- RED : charging output selected, input power present.
YELLOW : Constant current Bulk charging, then Absorption stage, in progress.
GREEN (flashing) : Battery ready for use; and float charge maintenance mode.

12Vdc 600mA regulated power supply

Open circuit voltage = 12,9V
Current limited at 650mA (a maximum current of 600mA can be drawn; a load
trying to draw a current of 650mA or higher will cause the output voltage to drop).
LED indication : A green LED indicates the 12Vdc output selection and engagement.
In short circuit condition the output being annulled, the LED extinguishes.

Protections
As with all TecMate chargers the AccuMate Compact charging selection has
complete automatic error protections against short-circuit, wrong connection etc.
