Dear Honorable Chief Justice OConnor and Justices of the Ohio Supreme Court:
In the interest of justice and the significant public interest in Judge Tracie Hunters case, I am asking that
the high court stay her sentence and hear Judge Hunters appeal. This is the highest profile case in
Hamilton Countys history. For the past five years, it has graced the front page of newspapers and media
outlets across Cincinnati, the state of Ohio, and across the country. Judge Hunters case is by far the
number one civil and human rights case in Hamilton County and possibly Ohios history.
I have followed this case with great interest, and as a member of the Greater Cincinnati community, have
significant concerns regarding this case. The persecution and prosecution of Judge Hunter is politically
motivated and has cost taxpayers over $3,000,000. Moreover, the justice system has been abused and
used to nullify the votes of over 120,000 citizens in Hamilton County who voted for her. I watched Judge
Hunter be publicly abused by prosecutors. This case has the potential to completely destroy public
confidence in the judicial system, if the citizens of Ohio do not have the opportunity for redress.
This case is of considerable interest to the African-American community, as Judge Hunter is the first and
only African-American and Democrat to ever hold office in the juvenile courts 110-year history. On
Monday, a twelve-year old African-American child said that if Judge Hunter goes to jail that he too would
go to jail on her behalf. Similarly, a ninety-three-year-old African-American man, who attended every
day of Judge Hunters 6-week trial, said that if she goes to jail that he also plans to go to jail. An AfricanAmerican middle-aged woman and third stage cancer patient said that she would be willing to go to jail in
Judge Hunters stead. This case has divided the community along racial lines, and groups are calling for
boycotts and civil unrest in the event that Judge Hunter does not get justice in the courts in Ohio.
It is of significant concern that Special Prosecutor, R. Scott Croswell told multiple media outlets and it
was widely reported that he already has pre-knowledge of the Ohio Supreme Courts decision concerning
Judge Hunters appeal. In his prepared speech concerning the decision to drop the remaining charges
against Judge Hunter, Mr. Croswell seemed fully convinced of Your Honors willingness to go along with
plans to deny Judge Hunter the right to redress and a stay of the harshly imposed sentence.
Thirteen days after Judge Norbert Nadel sentenced Judge Tracie M. Hunter to six months in jail without
bail, twelve-months probation, and court costs, although three jurors came forward after trial the day the
verdict was issued and swore that had they been polled they would have said that Judge Hunter was not
guilty, the same judge sentenced Mark Glover, a violent rapist to three years probation and no jail time.
Judge Hunter is a well-respected Pastor, a female, and the first African-American and Democrat to ever
serve as a judge in Hamilton County Juvenile Court. She didn't commit any acts of violence, she didn't
commit a sexual offense, she didn't hold anyone against their will, or cause anyone physical harm; so how
did Glover, a white male who did do all of these things get off so lightly-by the same sentencing judge?
More disturbing is that had the jury been polled, Judge Hunter wouldnt have been convicted at all.
Mark was facing six charges: three counts of rape and one count of Kidnapping (all 1st degree felonies);
and 2 counts of gross sexual imposition (4th degree felonies). All but the lesser charges of gross sexual
imposition were dismissed by Judge Nadel. After pleading guilty to the two lesser charges of gross sexual
imposition, Judge Norbert Nadel sentenced rapist Mark Glover to three years probation. The key is that
Glover is the son of Lobbyist and Prominent Republican Attorney, George T. Glover. This certainly does
not appear to be a fair administration of justice. We believe that the vindictive manner in which the
prosecution was executed clearly demonstrates a blatant disregard for a fair and just judicial system

There are obvious conflicts of interest in Judge Hunters case, along with jury fixing, destruction of
evidence and an Assistant Prosecutor lying under oath. As we learned during voir dire, Judge Hunter was
brought up on fraudulent charges, convicted by a jury composed of her political foes (including close
friends of Court Administrator Curt Kissinger, Assistant Prosecutor Katie Pridemore, and Judge John
Williams; the neighbor of Judge Heather Russell, employees of WCPO, which sued Judge Hunter;
attorneys from the law firm that represented WCPO, spouses of attorneys from the same firm; and an
employee of WCPO). With full knowledge of these facts, Judge Norbert Nadel allowed these individuals
to remain on Judge Hunters jury and then refused to release the jury questionnaires for public scrutiny.
The attorneys prosecuting the Hunter case are in fact admitted political and business friends of Hamilton
County Prosecutor Joe Deters. The media also widely reported that (R. Scott Crosswell III and Merlyn
Shiverdecker) are also his personal defense attorneys and that he selected them to prosecute her. Judge
Hunter was accused of securing a public contract, but during the trial I watched live, the evidence proved
that she could not have secured any contract as he worked for the courts 7 years before her election and
not one document was presented to say otherwise. Prosecutor Joe Deters, on the other hand, in an effort to
get a conviction against Judge Hunter, secured a million dollar no-bid contract for his friends and personal
defense attorneys, who previously represented him in his divorce and in his malfeasance as treasurer
several years ago in Columbus, Ohio (http://www.enquirer.com/editions/2004/09/15/loc_loc1allen.html).
Assistant Prosecutor Katie Pridemore testified under oath that she was instructed by the Ohio Supreme
Court to watch Judge Hunter and report back anything she did. However, the Ohio Supreme Court
submitted a written notification denying this authorization. Mrs. Pridemores damning testimony clearly
proved that Judge Hunter was under surveillance and heavy scrutiny by some members of the
prosecutors office which ultimately led to vindictive prosecution executed by the prosecutors office.
Who really instructed Mrs. Pridemore to investigate Judge Hunter and create a file of her cases?
Last week, Judge Hunters attorneys filed a motion requesting the forgery and tampering counts 1-4 be
dismissed because prosecutors destroyed evidence on the computers that could prove that Judge Hunter
did not make the alleged backdated entries. A forensic expert determined that computer hard drives that
would prove Judge Hunter did not create the entries in question were wiped and sold. Destroying
evidence is illegal! More importantly, Juvenile Court clerk Lisa Miller admitted to backdating the
documents in question, and Proware Software Executive, Don Flischel had already testified during that
trial that Lisa created the entries and dated them not Judge Hunter, according to Juvenile Court practice.
Judge Hunter was accused of using her county issued credit card to pay filing fees to answer 13 lawsuits
that Joe Deters office failed to answer and that the two inept attorneys Deters recommended to represent
Judge Hunter also failed to answer. These attorneys (Firooz and Bogen) were paid $80,000 to respond to
nearly 20 law suits that were filed by Judge Hunters political opponents in the Hamilton County
Commissioners office, Prosecutors office, Public Defenders office, and media outlets (WCPO and The
Cincinnati Enquirer). When the prosecutors office and lawyers they hired neglected to defend the cases,
Judge Hunter was charged with crimes. Judge Hunters attorneys were prepared to present evidence that
Judge Hunters credit card was not a county-issued credit card, but a card issued directly to Judge Hunter
(through 5/3rd Bank), who is a State of Ohio Common Pleas Judge, NOT A COUNTY JUDGE!
This entire trial has been a witchhunt! We are concerned about the appearance of impropriety, given the
personal, familial, and business relationships of the trial and appellate judges, and their political
connections to the prosecutors who made the accusations against Judge Hunter. The Special Prosecutors,
acting as proxies for Joe Deters, admitted that they brought these charges to ensure that Judge Hunter
would be removed as Juvenile Court judge. As a community, we are asking that you not be complicit in
what has amounted to a multi-million dollar voter nullification effort and a clear violation of separation of

powers and the illegal and strategic removal of a sitting judge. Judge Hunters entire six-year term has
been sabotaged by this political takedown. To date, the laws have clearly not been followed in this case,
completely destroying the publics confidence that laws matter or that judges and lawyers who swear to be
fair and impartial are not objective and unbiased at all, but politically and vindictively motivated, making
the Ohio Court system appear untrustworthy. It is within the Ohio Supreme Courts power to finally
follow the laws in this case, which lay people like me, have witnessed up close be abused, manipulated
and totally disregarded in Judge Hunters case, causing the people, including children and citizens of the
Greater Cincinnati region, to lose confidence. We request that the OSC take this case, stay sentence,
follow the law and right these wrongs.
Sincerely,

Jane Doe
