FINAL CASE STUDY

HONORS 2060-002
Each team of students is expected write an 8 10 page paper based upon a case study to be
provided by the instructor. The paper must be type-written, double-spaced, and submitted via
MyGateway / Docs & Assignments no later than 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, December 15.
A 15-minute class presentation regarding the assigned case study will be scheduled for Tuesday,
December 8, or Thursday, December 10.
This assignment is worth 200 points or 20% of your grade in this course. Late submissions will
be worth only partial credit. No papers will be accepted after December 22.
Within your case study, you must:

Describe the ethical issues faced by the organization.

Locate your companys actual Code or Ethics and Code of Conduct (or similar
documents). How could following those codes have helped the organization make better
decisions?
Identify and prioritize the most significant risks for the organization.
Identify five areas of the organization that may be affected by these risks. Explain why
and how each area is affected.
Describe the best possible compliance policies and procedures given the risks of the
organization.
Describe the assessment and evaluation tools the compliance department should use to
ensure the organization continues to mitigate its risks.

You must support the positions taken in your paper. You must reference at least three outside
sources. Written work will be evaluated for composition and grammar.
