Harvest Festival News: Each year, our annual carnival seems to get bigger and the fun never ends! Thank you to all our
teachers and families for the hard work that went into our Harvest Festival. Because of the generosity of our school
community we raised over $10,000.00 that night! The monies will allow us to fund Ipads for the remaining grades (K, 1, and
3), replace our sound system in the MP room which feeds the stage as well, and provide additional classroom funding for
learning materials and projects.

Specialist Trophy Winners for October & November: Great class behavior shines in our Specialists classrooms! The
following classes demonstrated overall great teamwork, behavior, attendance, and participation! Congratulations for earning
the Oscar: Mrs. Beattys first graders, Ms. Harrys second graders, Mrs. Raniadas third graders, Mrs. Ball-Aguilars fourth
graders, and Mrs. Piccininnis fifth graders!
Retirement Announcement: On January 4th we will be saying good-bye to our Office Manager,
Mrs. Ruth Espinoza. She is entering the world of retirement and we are so happy for her! Mrs. Espinoza
will be greatly missed as she has worked in CCSD for many years and been my constant support for my
past five years here at David M. Cox. Mrs. Espinoza put her heart and passion into her work and has
meant a lot to our students and staff here at DMC. We will be welcoming Mrs. Athena Janosik into the
position of Office Manager and Ms. Gianna Penney into the position of School Registrar upon
Mrs. Espinozas retirement. They are both amazing women and we look forward to a smooth transition.
