THE PASSOVER
LAMB

Under the blood

of the Passover Lamb
When God was determined to destroy
the first born of man and beast in
Egypt, through His grace He provided
a way for Israel to escape the plague.
If Israel would put the blood of the
lamb on the door posts and lintel of
the house, God would spare those in
the house.
Notice that Grace gave the plan, but
Israel in faith had to paint the blood of
the lamb on the door.

Exodus 12: 12
On that same night I will pass
throughEgypt and strike downevery
firstbornof both people and animals, and
I will bring judgment on all the godsof
Egypt. I am theLORD.13The blood will be
a sign for you on the houses where you
are, and when I see the blood, I will pass
overyou. No destructive plague will touch
you when I strike Egypt.

The message of the Passover is

the same clear and simple
message of the Gospel:

Believe in the Lamb who

died to take the
consequences for your sin
and you will be saved
from the wrath of the Just
Judge of all men.

Coming under the Blood

The Bible says, For everyone who
calls on the name of the Lord will
be saved. God wants you to trust
Him now by calling on the name of
His Son, Jesus Christ, for salvation.

What Jesus Expects

You must in faith confess that Jesus

is the Son of the Living God, that He
has authority over your life, that He
died on the cross and rose from the
dead to forgive your sin.
You must repent of sin and
disobedience to God, and trusting
Christ, walk in obedience to Him.

CONCLUSION
Israel was saved by grace through
faith when they painted the blood of
the lamb on the door.
They had to manifest their faith in
simple obedience to the word of God.
Without this obedience, they would
have had the plague strike them just
as it did the Egyptians.

 We likewise, by grace through faith,

are saved from the plague of sin. We
likewise must have the blood of the
Lamb painted on us to escape the
plague.
We manifest our faith in simple
obedience to the will of God by being
baptized into Christ (coming under His
Blood) according to His command.

world,
Have mercy on us.
