The survey of 604 likely voters was conducted March 30th -April 1st. The results
showed:
Alabama Congressional District 7 is an open seat being vacated by Artur Davis who
is running for Governor. The District is heavily democratic, African-American, and
overwhelmingly supported President Barack Obama with over 70% in 2008.
Commissioner Smoot said “I am pleased that the hard work my campaign is put in
over the past year is continuing to hold our lead. This race isn’t about money. It is
about issues and record and on both accounts the voters agree with me and my
campaign. We will continue to work hard to get our message out and show the
people of CD 7 that Smoot is on your side.”
