Had a signal for students

to stop what they were
doing and pay attention
to you

Comments/
Suggestions
Possibly write the definition
down instead of saying it
multiple times

You had the materials they

needed but did not have
what they were actually
going to be doing

Had step by step

instructions
Did not have examples
made up

Your steps need more

details for all to understand.
Have examples already
made up of each step so
students can see exactly
what to do.

I really like how you

conversed with the
students casually while
talking them through the
warm up
You did a great job walking
around the room and
keeping students on task.
Make sure the students
know what is expected of
them, give them more
warnings.
This only worked for a few
students. Maybe have a
word you use when starting
to put your hand up. Not all
students will be watching
your every move to see if
your hand is up.

Comments/
Suggestions
Your questions are well
thought out and point
students in the right
direction without giving
them the answers
This is a great technique but
not many students are
actually taking advantage of
it. Teach them how to
discuss properly, give them
expectations for this
Great example of the wide
screen tv!
Only some of your students
are answering, need to find
a different way to assess all
students
Great proportions example
of boys vs girls in the
classroom.

Final comments:
Teacher showed a distinguished knowledge of the concepts and was enthusiastic about the material. The cartoon project is a great way
to show proportions and to keep students interested and involved in their learning. Teacher needs to work on displaying what is
expected of the students and the goals of the lesson.
