Jaime will be our strongest advocate in Springfield, ensuring that our voices are heard. Jaime has been working tirelessly to stand up for these who have fallen victim to Republican Gavernor Bruce Rauner’s extreme agenda that hurts middle class families, children and seniors. Recently, Rauner eliminated the state's program to provide breast cancer screenings for low-income women, putting the lives of more than 12,000 womenin danger. Jaime has repeatedly fought against Rauner’s dangerous cuts and voted to restore critical funding for breast cancer treatment and prevention. Unfortunately, Jaime’s opponent, Harish Patel, is following Bruce Rauner’s plan by not looking out for our best interests and he will not stand up for public education.
