IV-21 BSE Biology


January 28-February 3, 2016

Its the tenth week. This week, my calorie-intake immensely increased with an average of
1811. My water-intake ranged from 5-7 glasses. My activities were still inactive.
For this week, my calorie-intake went up from 1400-2000 calories last week to 15032077. I notice that I exceeded 1500 calories per day. I have 1941, 1716, 1503, 1939, 1686, 1819
and 2077 calories respectively. I was trying to recover from the sickness I had last week and this
must be the reason for the increased calorie-intake, not to mention I have increased my foods this
week.
Most of the foods I took were meats, eggs, fruits and veggies. In relation to the previous
lesson, I believe that some of these foods were actually good for the muscle particularly eggs,
fishes and meats. Though I am not built with strong and lean muscle, the foods I am taking are
still helping the growth of my muscle. In my case, in order to gain weight, building and growing
muscle by protein-rich foods plus exercise will be of great help. The problem though is I am not
an active exerciser so these protein-rich foods are not processed properly.
My activities this week are as usual sedentary. I cannot find time for exercise and other
activities. Walking time has increased because of extra school activity. The time for surfing
remained the same. The remaining time went to school stuff.
This week, I took an average of 5-7 glasses of water. This was similar to last weeks
amount. In relation to previous lesson, water is important to digestive system. Many of the
systems functions are carried out with the help of water. Lack of water in the digestive system
can result in ulcers, indigestion, heartburn, fatigue, constipation and others
(enjoyabetterworld.com, 2011).
With all these things, I hope to see improvements for the coming weeks.
