Introduction
Can you imagine not being able to get water whenever you want?
Can you imagine having to walk miles to get water? 57% of the earths
population has to walk more than 2 miles to get even the smallest drop of
water. And most of it is still contaminated. In this article, I will explain this
problem, and people who help. First, I will state some facts about the
topic. Next, I will introduce my first teen activist that has and still is
making a big impact on the Earth. Then I will explain in many ways how
you can help this situation. After that, I will state a few solutions to the
problem. Finally, I will reveal the effects of dirty water. My evidence will
illustrate what people go through each day in their life, and what people
are doing to help them.

Activists Story
Boyan Slat is a 20 year old activist that has found a way to clean the
oceans. He is the CEO of the Ocean Cleanup, which will be the worlds
first ocean cleanup system. Boyan announced that this cleanup system
will be deployed in 2016. In the text by Slat, the author states, the system,
which involves a static platform that
passively corrals plastics as wind and
ocean currents push debris through
2000-meter booms, will be the longest
floating structure ever deployed in the
ocean. Soon, this brilliant cleaning
contraption will be deployed in Tsushima,
Japan. After this crucially needed
cleanup, the Pacific ocean will be much
cleaner.

Conclusion
In conclusion, eventually, I want the world to not have to search for
clean water. I used to think that not many people lacked access to water,
but now I realize that this is a very unaddressed issue in the world. From
now on, I will be more aware of issues in the world. Clean drinking water
is the first, and most important step to lifting communities out of cycles
of illness and poverty. (Seager) This quote shows how much it means to
have access to clean drinking water. What are you going to do to help?
