Technical school is among the best secondary

schools in Serbia it has been awarded evaluation
grade 4 by the Ministry of Education, Science and
Technological Advancement, which is the highest
grade on the educational evaluation scale.

Technical school was founded as early as

1931. It was a time when vocational education
aimed at creating different vocations and
further university education began to develop
in the Knjazevac Municipality.
During the previous 84 years, the school
has changed and developed by
introducing new vocations and
educational profiles, according to the
demands of the municipality.

Today Technical school is an active,

dynamic and modern vocational
school which educates students in
5 fields of activity and is certified for
24 vocations of 3rd and 4th degree.
In the school year 2014/15 the school
has
512 full-time students in
21 classes and
7 educational profiles:

Geodesy and civil engineering

Architectural technician
Roof coverer experimental class
Mechanical engineering and metal machining
Mechanical technician for computer construction
Mechanial technician for motor vehicles
Textile and leather engineering
Leather model constructor technician
Economics, law and administration
Commercialist - experimental class
Trade, catering and tourism
Tourist technician

As a school of highest quality standards, Technical

school continually improves the quality of its work in
all areas. It especially puts emphasis on the area of
lecturing and learning by investing in teachers
vocational training, equipping the school with modern
learning utilities, as well as providing quality and
varied extra-curricular activities.

Educational activities are performed in two connected school buildings

and the classes are held in two shifts.

Theory, practice and block classes are held under modern

conditions, in classrooms and workshops.

Theory classes are held in 17 classrooms.

Apart from three computer classrooms with internet access and

other necessary equipment, there are two more classrooms where
multimedia classes can be held. There is a wireless internet
connection available in the school as well.

Practice classes are held in three workshops as well as in

companies dealing with mechanical and textile engineering.

The school has a sports hall with a fitness gym, library, and a
large schoolyard with a park and sport terrain.

In the school year 2014/15 the school has 73 employees:

57 teachers,
two professional assistants (school pedagogist and librarian),
a director,
three administration employees and
10 employees responsible for school maintenance.
