Brief Description
This is a way to find out how the
students learn and what they prefer in
terms of physical activity. I can learn a
lot about my learners and decide on
effective strategies for them.
Everyday I will observe the students
and check for specific criteria that
needs to be met. (Participation, effort,
attire and etiquette.) Almost every
SLO in the PE program of studies, it
says students need to demonstrate,
without participation it is impossible
for them to demonstrate the required
skills.
The students will have the opportunity
to reflect on their skills and interest in
badminton and make notes about
their progress. This will be entirely to
help the students reflect on their own
work and determine by themselves
how they can improve their abilities or
PA.
Two opportunities will be given to
students to perform the three basic
shots that will be taught during the
unit. The first opportunity will be given
early in the semester. Another later on
to show improvement and give a
chance for those who may have
missed the first time. They will be
given five chances to perform the skill
at least three times. If they
accomplish the shot 3 out of the 5
times, they receive 100%.
At the end of the semester, a simple
quiz will be given to assess for
understanding of rules, gameplay and
applicability to other physical activity.
