Good Day! Peace and All Good!
My name is John Francis Cruz, a Second Year College student, and I am
writing in application for a scholarship to assist me throughout my time
studying in the Teacher Education program at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart College
of Guimba, Inc. (OLSHCO).
Being awarded the chance to study further in my field at the OLSHCO is an incredible
opportunity for me and one I intend to seize wholeheartedly without reservation. I have
consistently proven throughout my previous studies and working experience that when
presented with an opportunity I will strive as hard as I can to best represent myself and
reward those who have granted me a chance to prove such. This is evident in my
continuing relations and my professional mentors at OLSHCO. Despite financial
hardship I have always done what is necessary to further my study experience. This
includes four months of working at OLSHCO Elementary Department teaching the pupils
how play a xylophone and tutoring my classmates whose facing adversity in learning
some lessons.
I am also a two-time Deans Lister on my First Year at OLSHCO. My grades for the First
semester of my second year here is yet to be released by our School Administration on
Monday, November 2, 2015, together with my certificate of being a Deans Lister on my
second semester during my first year here. All of these will be released during our
enrollment day for the second semester.
This scholarship represents to me an opportunity to fully focus my attention on the main
objective of achieving the best I can in the Teacher Education program. I will strive to be
a representative and a future mentor of our province throughout my future career and I
am very thankful to be able to attend this course.
