MR.

NOBODY

"Mr. Nobody"
[Encik Tak Tau]
I know a funny little man, [saya mengenali seorang lelaki kerdil yang kelakar]
As quiet as a mouse, [yang senyap seperti tikus]
Who does the mischief that is done [yang melakukan salah laku]
In everybody's house![di dalam setiap rumah]
There's no one ever sees his face, [tiada seorang pun yang pernah melihat wajahnya]
And yet we all agree [maka kami sepakat bersetuju]
That every plate we break was cracked [setiap pinggan yang kami pecahkan telah
diretakkan sebelumnya]
By Mr. Nobody [oleh Encik Tak Tau]
`Tis he who always tears our books, [dialah yang selalu mengoyak buku kami]
Who leaves the door ajar, [dialah yang membiarkan pintu tidak tertutup rapat]
He pulls the buttons from our shirts, [dialah yang menanggalkan butang pada pakaian
kami]
And scatters pins afar; [dialah yang selerakkan pin]
That squeaking door will always squeak, [pintu yang berkeriut (berbunyi)akan sentiasa
berbunyi]
For, prithee, don't you see, [maka, tolonglah, tidakkah kamu melihat]
We leave the oiling to be done [kami biarkan kerja meletakkan minyak pada pintu
tersebut untuk dilakukan]
By Mr. Nobody [oleh Encik Tak Tau]
The finger marked upon the door [semua kotoran tangan pada permukaan pintu]
By none of us are made; [tiada seorang pun dari kami yang lakukannya]
We never leave the blind unclosed, [ kami tidak pernah membiarkan bidai terbuka]
To let the curtains fade. [ yang menyebabkan langsir menjadi pudar]
The ink we never spill; the boots [ kami tidak pernah menumpahkan dakwat; dan
kasut-kasut itu]
That lying round you see [ yang berselerak seperti yang kamu nampak]
Are not our boots- they all belong [semuanya bukan milik kami-ianya milik]
To Mr. Nobody. [Encik Tak Tau]
