Media release 3/8/16- American Village, Louisville KY American Village underwent an upgrade in 2013 that included new tankless Hot Water Heaters. ‘These hot water heaters and its connections have been found to be unsafe and a fire hazard. Therefore with the concern of our resident's safety and wellbeing, they had to be immediately disconnected. Although many of the residents do not have running hot water in their apartments currently, we have provided several locations in the building with available hot water for residents to take showers/baths etc. American Village has begun the installation of new “safe” hot water heaters and will continue to until all apartments are completed. It is expected to be 100% complete within a week. ‘The ownership, management and staff feel terrible for this unexpected hardship, and are addressing the issue with our resident’s safety and comfort being our utmost concern. .
