1. What are your goals for your future?
I would like to become a social science teacher and maybe an administrator. I would like to go to the
University of Oregon or Chico State to get my bachelors degree.

Social Science secondary school teacher - I would be working in a high school teaching students about
social science, ideally US history. Some of the responsibilities I would have would be holding lectures,
discussions and demonstrations in my classroom. Use different methods of teaching that get the best results
with students. Enforce behavior rules and procedures to retain order in my classroom.

I should be able to use new teaching strategies, talk to others, adapt my curriculum when things arent working, problem
integrity, dependability, self control, leadership, stress tolerance, and adaptability.

certifications required?

I would need to get my bachelors degree and then work on my teaching credential. If I decide to
become an administrator, I would need to at least get my masters in education administration.
7. What is your overall impression of this occupation? What are the Pros and Cons?

I think the occupation itself is great. I would love working with students and having class discussion
about social studies. I would appreciate a higher salary, but it seems high enough to be able to raise a
family on my own if I had to. I think that this is the right career for me because I would enjoy it so much
and I think that is most important. Plus the vacation time is great and I would be able to spend lots of
time with my family.
