Nahtlose Prazisionsstahlrohre mit besonderer MaSgenavigkelt; MaBe In keeping with current practice in standards published by ‘comma has Been used throughout as the decimal marker. tha International Organization for Standardization (ISO). @ Dimensions in mm 1 Scope and field of application ‘This standard specifies dimensions tor cold finished, ‘seamless precision steel tubes and is to be used in con- junction with DIN 2391 Part 2 which states the rolevant echnical dalivary conditions. The preferred sizes listed in table 2 are mainly used in méchanical and automotive er gineering. Where steel tubes of dimensions specitied in this standard are to comply with the technical delivery conditions listed in subclause 1,2 of DIN2391 Part 2, they shall be ordered in quality grade C. 2 Dimensions “Tho tube diameter is subject to tho limit deviations speci- fied in table 2. one of the limit deviations is to be zeto, this shall be stated in the order, @.g. instead of (650,26) mm, either (5575) mm or (55-55) mm. Table 1: Limit deviations for the diameter ‘of heat treated tubes. ‘Wall thickness, T Limit deviations for diameter, D (0.08 -D and above ‘As specified in table 2. ‘Above 0,05. D. up to 0,025- 1D 1,5 times the valves, in table 2. ‘Twice the values in lable 2. ‘Above 0,025-D ‘The limit deviations for diameters given in table 2 allow for ‘ovallty and apply for the cold finished (hard) (BK) and cold finished (soft) (BKWY) conditions. For heat treated tubes, i.e. cold finished and stress~relet annealed (BKS), annealed (GBK) or normalized (NBK} tubes, the limit deviations for the diameter increase as a {function of the wall thickness/diameter ratio (see tabla 7}. The dimensions given in table 1 also apply to the inside dlameter of stee! tubes. {Inthe case of intermediate stzes, the deviations for the next {argest size shall apply. ‘The limit deviations for walt thickness shall be 410% of the ‘nominal size ang Include the concentrlcty tolerance, which is calculated as a percentage using the following formula Trt ~ Tusa Tou Tne? where 1, Is the largest wall thickness measured of a ube cross section; the omallost wall thickness measured of a tube cross section 1, Where the wall thickness is of significance, the tubes may also be ordered in terms of outside diameter and wal thick hess or inside diameter and wal thickness. In this case, the limit deviations specified here rater only to two of threo possible parameters, the deviations for the third being suD- ject to agreement. Such tubes shall be ordered in quality grade C. Continued on pages 2 to 6. September 1994 Price group 6 ‘ath Verag Grr. Ban, ps he exclusive og eal ar Garman Sanda (ON NOT, ‘DIN 2391 Part? Engi.
