1. The teacher and students will read the objectives for the day together.
2. The third grade students will begin the final quarter practicing typing using
proper finger placement and posture. The teacher will ask the students to identify
what proper posture looks like. The teacher will also ask about finger placement and
the names of the different rows.
3. The teacher will model the program Dance Mat Typing and show the students
how to get there.
4. The students will perform a Google search for Dance Mat Typing and work their
way through the typing modules using proper finger placement.

1. The teacher and students will read the objectives for the day together.
2. The students will be asked to recall what we did last week. They will then
proceed to Typing Club and practice using correct finger placement and posture.

During this time, the teacher will be asking a variety of questions such as, what
program does Google Docs remind you of?, What could you use Google Slides
for?, What can Google Drive replace?, etc.
5. Students will be shown how to get to Google Classroom and some of the features
of it. (this lesson will be continued)
6. Finally, the students will be asked to email the teacher with their name, their
favorite color and their favorite food.

5.The teacher will model with a student how to share a document and where to find
it once it is shared.

documents and collaborating with each other.

Google Search assignment. The students will be copying and pasting their answers
into the assignment.
7. Using the last few minutes of class, the students will turn and talk to a partner and
discuss the benefits of knowing how to copy and paste.

3. The students will be introduced to their mini research project. This research

4. The students will proceed to Google Classroom where they will find their
research project layout. They will begin their research and copy and paste relevant
information back onto the layout.

will then introduce the students to the idea of virtual field trips.
3. The teacher will take the students on a group virtual field trip to places such a
Cedar Point, the Eiffel Tower, Hope of Detroit, the White House, and the
Smithsonian.
4. After the teacher is finished modeling how to take virtual field trips, the students
will get an opportunity to explore on their own.
5. Using the last few minutes of class, the students will share a Google Doc with the
teacher and describe where they went, what they saw, and what they learned.
