Section One: Research

Part 1: Self-Assessment
The first self-assessment I conducted in last week, by the help of one book named:
Self-assessment and promotion: Knowing yourself. The analysis of myself
according to that book was organized in a manner like what would you will do if it
happens at your job place. However, I found that I am very good at consult with
people, to be co-ordinator of activities, correspond and better to be at handling of
such records, equipment and well organized. I am totally agree with the result.

The second self-assessment I done was online from the link provided by prof. Lara
lose on DC connect. And I found that it was such a realistic and a good way to
analyse yourself. I passed through many questions and I found myself so
extraverted more than introverted. Also, I am good as an intuitive and as observer.
In addition, I believes in thinking or in logic rather than just feeling about other
and what the people will say. I found that the results I got is better to introduce
myself in front of other. (16 Personalities, 2016)
Apart from above two self-assessment I done, I believe that the second online
assessment will help me more in a perspective of career and sure it will help me to
develop myself more.

Part 2: Career research:

Currently, I am in chemical laboratory technician course in Durham collage. I will
be graduate in May of 2016. I am looking myself as analyst and chemist at job
place in perspective of future. According to data provided by service Canada, the
salary per annum for analyst and chemist is generally starts from $ 49,500.

I found that, the future of my career in this field is so far so good. After the year
1990, the job in this field is remain fairly stable. However, majority of companies
still demanding and looking for trained and experienced person more rather than to
choose a fresher.
From research I found that chemical industries, looking for some skills such as
management, teamwork and a better communications skills. Also, they looking for
some skills required to be as an analyst such as able to operate and able to do a

sampling analysis and more over they looking for some skills required to research.
They do not want any persons who have negative attitudes and less in teamwork.
Section two: Define your career objective
Career Objective Statement:
My objective in for my career is to get a job with high salary with a better position
in the area of quality assurance and quality control analyst. There are lots of
chemical industries in GTA area and specially, I would like to get a job in a
multinational and well known branded company as it is my dream and to achieve
that is my goal.
I am the person who can work for any institution or company for last longer and I
believe in a loyal and in a good behaviour which is help me to get a job as they are
very important in every industry or corporation. I always believe in positive
attitude and always starts my work with energy. I am sure that, the qualities and
skills I enlisted above will help me to get a good job.
Section three: Outline A Minimum of 3 Key Goals
Outline Key Goals That Will Help You Reach Your Career Objective:
My first goal is to complete a fast track course of Project Management running at
Centennial Collage, Toronto, ON. Project management course will start from May,
2016 and ends on December, 2016. Project management program is deals with the
how to handle any project whether is at your job place or for any institution or any
corporation. They teaches us how to handle it, deal with it and how to end up
successively. Also, the main thing they teaches us is how to do work effectively in
a team and in a stressful condition.
My second goal is become a volunteer at a BAPS Swaminarayan Temple, Toronto,
ON. Usually, every Sunday I goes to temple and when I see, there are more than
1000 peoples regularly come to attend a rituals at temple. No matter of thousands
of people, still it very well managed and well maintained peaceful environment. I
am still wondering how they will manage so crowd, car parking and other activities
they provide. I can learn so many things such as to work in team, to work in a
stressful environment. This things will help me at industry level as well.
Third goal of mine is to get training at a Patheon, Inc (Chemical industry). As I
write above that majorities of companies demanding trained and experienced
person. I have some contacts in company which will help me to train better. So, for

that I have to pass from interview and I am sure I will do it and I will get a good
training which will enhance my skills at industry level. In addition, if they like
work, they also help to get a job in that company.
Section Four: Develop Strategies To Overcome Barriers And Help You Reach
Each Goals
Part 1: Outline Barriers to your Goals Strategies for reaching each of your goals

For my first goal, I will do all my works, all assignments and all lab reports with a
good research in this semester. As it is my last semester of this course. I want to
maintain a good score in academic level. It will help me to get a course of project
management at centennial college. As it require better grades in last course. Only
barriers are like internal barriers such as regularity and level of interest and how
you can do as much as possible to achieve that.
For my second goal, the barriers for me is a good reference to get a volunteer ship.
As I came to know about they demand a reference. So, I will made some contacts
at there and I will participate in such activities provided by the charities of temple
which will help to raise myself and it will make me better one to introduce myself
to them. It is not easy as I said. They will check my work report, loyalty and how I
am work efficiently.
For my third goal, I have to pass from an interview conduct by the well-known
industry. Off course, it is not a bed of rose. I have to prepare myself according to
qualities they want. To overcome this problem, I will ask to my friend who is
working over there. He will let me know about what type of work they want and
what type of qualities they want. I will try to mold myself according to they want. I
have to learn more about work effectively in team with positive attitude.
Section Five: How Will You Evaluate Progress?
I will do make time table to work all my assignments, lab reports and exam studies
on time, before due dates. It will help me to be a punctual. Also, I will do all
process for admission in Centennial Collage myself. If I found that some barriers
are stopping me to get my goal, I will try my best to overcome until I get that.
For my second goal, to check how you worked effectively, by asking someone or
by asking for feedback about yourself is a much better way than anything
according to me. I will ask to volunteers who is working over there and I will keep

myself updated about their activities. And I will make as much as good contacts
which will help to in reference.
For third goal of mine, there are lots of online help activities available which will
helps us to prepare for an answer. There are various questions available online. So,
I will try to face it first and I will evaluate myself and I will do work on it. Also,
this subject Communication for Career Development, will surely help me in make
an effective resume and develop ourselves according to job place.
