At the end of this activity, you will be keen at identifying and naming different
assessment methods used in the classroom.

when I see the SIM, the topic is about the
Similarity Triangle, and students as I observed
is found difficulty in Similarity Triangle. And this
material will be a way so that the students will
much understand this topic.

This really helps the students in first recopping


the lesson or stating the last topic that
discussed and explaining how the topic

discussed to them.
Also during the discussions the teacher ask
questions about thetopic that she discussed,
and for me the art of questioning is really
important because in this particular way you
might know that your students are actually
listening to the teacher.

Yes there were varieties of assessment methods used by the
teachers testing the students knowledge and ability by giving them

assess how far did they already learned and how can they acquire more than
what they already know. They train students by giving them the chance to
learn by themselves with the guide of the teacher because as the principles
of teaching says none of the learning material can replaced the tearcher
and they give them motivation to enhance their study habits so they wont
be behind the class, as we all know the students are much motivated if you
give them activity that they really enjoy.

Do you think the expected students learning behaviours indicated in


the objectives were properly and appropriately assessed through those assessment
methods?
Students learning behaviours indicates in the goal or objectives
of the teacher that the assessment methods properly assessed the students,
like in the oral recitation, students participated and answered the questions
of the teacher, which is very good, they also make some group activities that
shows the cooperative learning, as I observed they also have the individual
activity like for example the teacher is about o discussed the similarity
triangle and then the ask the students to bring colored paper and in that
time the students are very much excited to cut the colored paper in the form
of a triangle.

The importance of heaving a appropriate assessment methods is that in thi
particular way, you will absolutely achieve your goal or objective in teaching a specific
topic, which is as a teacher we must cope with those paricular assessment methods
especially the art of questioning, we as future educators must practice how to facilitate
the students and ask them questions regarding the topic that discussed to them, in that

way we will know if our students are listening during our discussion, giving them also
activity that will wake them to be motivated to listen to the teacher is also an important
thing because we as teacher must inspire them to learn more about the subject
mathematics because as we all know Mathematics is used in everyday life. The learning
material, Strategic Intervention Material (SIM) is a very nice learnig material that I see as
of now, because this really guides the students in learning a certain topic although it is
quite hard to make this kind of educational material.
