BC = 0.12 Gpa;
CD = 0.8 Gpa;
The maximum stress is obvious that it is located between nodes B and C. Compared with
theoretical solution, the results are mostly equal and matched.
3.to solve displacements for this structure, we need to solve 3 equations with 3 unknowns. We
have to get the condensed matrix is a 3*3 matrix, with 4 boundary conditions which are
UA = 0, F2 = -9 KN , F3 = 4 KN , F4 = 2 KN.
4. No need to add more elements in order to increase the accuracy of the model and its results
because the applied loads are forces on each node. We add elements in the case of distributed
load along the structure.
5.Equilibrium is satisfied inthe simple sketch as shown in figure3.
