Medical

Street
Winchester,
VA

Dear
Nurse
Recruiter,
I
am
writing
to
express
my
interest
in
serving
as
an
RN
in
Critical
Care
at
Winchester
Medical
Center.
In
May,
I
will
be
graduating
from
Shenandoah
University
with
my
BSN.
While
I
am
most
interested
in
Critical
Care,
I
would
strongly
consider
any
staff
nursing
positions
that
are
available.
I
am
looking
for
a
night
shift
position,
but
I
am
open
to
day
shift,
or
rotating
as
well.
As
indicated
in
my
resume,
I
spent
my
senior
preceptorship
in
Critical
Care
at
Winchester
Medical
Center.
This
experience
has
allowed
me
to
hone
my
nursing
skills
and
assessments.
With
guidance
from
my
preceptor
I
have
been
able
to
perform
skills
including
IV
and
central
line
therapy,
titration
of
medication
drips,
and
focused
neurologic
assessments.
This
experience
has
allowed
me
to
actively
participate
in
a
multidisciplinary
approach
to
care,
while
broadening
my
knowledge
base.
In
addition
to
my
nursing
skills,
I
will
bring
organization
and
flexibility
that
I
have
learned
from
my
current
position
with
Winchester
Medical
Center.
Balancing
coursework
with
clinical
experiences
with
my
job
in
Float
Pool
has
taught
me
time
management,
organization,
and
accountability.
I
have
been
applauded
for
my
ability
to
stay
focused
and
maintain
a
positive
outlook.
I
welcome
the
opportunity
to
discuss
this
position
in
person,
at
your
convenience.
I
will
contact
you
in
the
next
week
to
arrange
a
time
for
an
interview.
If
there
is
any
additional
information
you
would
like
me
to
provide,
please
feel
free
to
contact
me
at
the
above
information.
I
am
eager
to
continue
my
career
at
Winchester
Medical
Center.
I
look
forward
to
speaking
with
you.
Thank
you
for
your
time
and
consideration.
Sincerely,
Courtney
Short
