SafetyConsiderations:
Theteacherwillconductthe
danceactivityinaqualitylearningenvironment.All
equipmentusedwillbeageappropriateandplacedin
asafemannertoreducetheriskofanyinjuries.Each
studentwillbespacedoutaccordinglytohelpreduce
anyconflict.Theteacherwillverballyreviewtherules
andexpectationsbeforethestartoftheactivity.
Beforethestartofclass,theteacherwillhave
knowledgeofanyhealthrelatedissuesthestudents
mayhave,whichwillbeprovidedbytheschool.Ifan
emergencyoccur,theteacherwillremaincalmwhile
transportingthestudentstoasafeenvironmentor
shelter,basedonthesituation.Ifastudentisinjured,
theteacherwillstoptheactivityandhavethestudents
seatedawayfromtheinjuredstudentwhilethe
teachernotifiestheproperauthoritiesofthechilds
injuries.Eachstudentwillbeawareoftheteachers
signals(whistle).Allequipmentwillbeplacedonthe
ground/floorwhiletheteacherisproviding
instructionsandthestudentshandswillbeplacedon
orabovetheirheads.

BehavioralContingencies:
Theactivitieswillbegin
andendontheinstructorscue(whistle).Studentswill
begiventwowarningsbeforehavingtositoutquietly
onthegreenbenchfornotfollowingdirections,
misbehaving,oranybehaviorthatisnotallowedin
TigerPride.Thestudentwillsitoutfortheremainder
oftheactivity.Ifafightoccurs,anadultsupervisor
willbecalledtodetainthestudentswhowere
engagedinthealtercation.Therestofthestudents
willbeseatedoutthewayofharmuntilthesituation
hasbeenresolved.

TeachingStrategy:
Iwillstartthelessonusingthe
commandstyleteachingstrategy.Theinstructionwill
beprovidedbyusinganinteractiveapproachand
verbalcuestoassistthestudentsinunderstandingthe
COTSthatwillbeusedduringthesocceractivity.
