Description: This montage is a simple spiritual design.
Process: I took two photographs and put them together using
Photoshop. I made a masking layer for the picture of the girl and
raised the opacity of the brush to different levels and added a

matter what. The landscape plays the part that He lives. The girls
face with an endless possibility of what she may going through is
the part that shows Hes there no matter what.

Color scheme and color names: I have an Analogous color scheme
using teal, blue, and indigo.

critiques, then I sought out more inspiration and redesigned
incorporating my new inspiration and my critiques. The logo
and retro pattern were created in Adobe Illustrator and the
business card and stationery were put together on Adobe
InDesign. The logo was made by grouping together the text
and the different boxes around. The retro pattern was made by
setting lines;the copy tool made it simple, then, making all the
triangles individual and then simpl y coloring them in with
different colors.
Message: My message is that Im fun yet professional.
Audience: Friends, acquaintances and future employers.
Color scheme and color names: My color scheme is an analogous with different greens and blues.

and body copy: Geometrica which is a sans serif.

Event Ad
Description: This AD is for a half marathon to raise funds for a charity that helps
disadvantaged woman have better futures.

Process: The program used to complete this project was Microsoft Word. A woman running
comes from an AD in a magazine. I scanned the image and removed the background and
added a background of my own using the triangle tool to add several triangles in different
colors. The words were added using test boxes and the lines using the line tool. The Focus
principles I focused on the most were repetition and contrast of color with the different
colored contrasting triangles in the background.
Message: The message I want to get across is that women can be strong too. This run will
be empowering not onl y to the woman the fund will benefit but also to the men and woman
participating in the half marathon.
Audience: My audience are all the active/athletic people that live in the Maryland, Virginia

something appealing, crisp and bold.

is decorative.

Description: A webpage designed using html and css for a logo, including the
description of the process for making the logo.
Process: First, I made the logo. I made it using Adobe Illustrator, I used the star
shape and added many points for the sun, then I made the banner using a start
with four side and the direct select tool to make it look like a banner, to which
I added a complementary blue outline stroke and then text using CSS. The
webpage was formatted using html and css linked together. The blue used came
from using the color picker in Photoshop to get the code for the blue from a
picture of the sky and then manipulating it. I then added a maroon border. I
added my logo and centered it by coding the html.
Message: My message is that I can design webpages and logos according to
different needs and audiences.
Audience: The audience for the logo is health conscious people and families.

banners. I used the color replacement brush to make her eyes more
blue and the color replacement brush and color recognition with the
orange from the banners to make her lips have a tint of orange. For her
face I used the clone stamp to get rid of some stray eyebrows and the
sharpen tool for her eyes and hair.
Message: I wanted the message of this to be just be simple, pretty, and
fun cosmetics that people can feel good about.

Photography

Shooting and editing these pictures was an adventure.
Although still not professional, I learned a lot about the basics
of taking photos and editing them in Photoshop. With Photoshop
I mainl y adjusted the vibrance, colors and sharpness. Im looking forward to continue learning about Photography and Photoshop in the future!

Flier
Description: This flier is so a Graduate Leadership Conference, designed
using InDesign. Read below for more details:
Process: For the process of creating this flier I began by thinking about my
audience and sketching possible designs. I then narrowed it down to one
and used InDesign to create this simple yet appealing design for the
Graduate Leadership Conference. I used the Rectangle tool to create
triangles to create repetition and flow throughout the design. The pull out
rulers on InDesign were my best friends during this project. There was a
lot to align to give it that crisp look so the rulers came in handy to get
everything aligned just right. After everything there still appeared
something missing- contrast. To create even just a bit of contrast I created
a black box and turned the word Conference white. This helped the word
conference stand out and the flier look complete.
Message: The message I want to get across with with this flier is professional, and minimalist. I want viewers to be attracted to the most
important information and also feel powered.
Audience: Young college graduates seeking career opportunities theyve
always dreamed of and who are ready to make them a reality.
Title Font Name & Category: Bebas Neue; Sans Serif
Copy Font Name & Category: Josefin Slab; Slab Serif

Brochure
Description: This a brochure for a cosmetic development and
manufacturing company.
Process: I began by making the logo on Illustrator. I then created a two page InDesign with grid lines to make things alignment of the brochure more simple. I pulled the background
color from a rose. I was then able to insert the text and images
and text wrap one of those images.
Message: The message I want to get across with with this brochue is that Color Design Lab is professional yet trendy.
Audience: Cosmetic professionals seeking development and
manufacuring of products.
