Purpose
The Barron Canyon Bed and Breakfast Emergency Response Plan
(ERP) is a comprehensive safety net to follow in the event of a crisis
scenario. It provides the tools and means necessary to mitigate
potential disaster while running the Upper Madawaska Canoe Trip and
the Centennial Hiking Trip Itinerary. All Managers and guides will be in
possession of one and become adept at navigating through the ERP
before departure.
Roles/Responsibilities
Emergency Coordinators- Once notified of the crisis, the emergency
coordinator initiates the ERP managing Intel and manpower.
Evacuation Coordinator- is responsible for taking charge of, or
providing assistance in initiating the evacuation plan.
Communication Coordinator- gets a hold of onsite/offsite team
members and makes sure the correct people are notified.
Media Relations- in charge of public and media relations dealing with
stories and bad press.
Logistics coordinator- Ensures the necessary resources (vehicles,
stretchers, hospitals etc.) are allocated properly.
Business Continuity Manager- Manages normal business operations
and makes sure the logistics coordinator has the resources it needs
and that the managers/owners can concentrate fully on the crisis at
hand.
Field Staf- is in charge of providing necessary first aid and mitigating
the crisis until everything is stable or an evacuation can happen.
