Generic Risk Assessment for training and racing in Celtic Longboats in
inland waters, harbours, rivers and on the sea.
ALL BOATS ROWING IN OPEN WATER WITHOUT THE SUPPORT OF A
SAFETY BOAT MUST CARRY ALL OF THE FOLLOWING:
VHF (and optionally Mobile Phone) tethered to the coxswain
Lifejackets worn by all crew
Emergency pack containing flares, compass, multi-tool, survival
sacks.
Light and GPS when rowing at night
Throw line and first aid kit and baler
