TITLE:Caste System

INTRODUCTION
Many countries try hard to give all its citizens equal opportunities but the caste system creates
many problems. People want to come to modern times for Caste System. In India People get
(Inter-Caste)marriage now. However many people cant change their mind about the caste
system and people still have problems with the Caste System. Some people still get married to
girls for a dowry and the Caste System in India still exists. Even though some people believe the
Caste System in India is no longer a problem,The Caste System in India is still a problem
because the Caste System still exists in India, there is not equal work opportunities for all
citizens and Inter-caste marriage is still not allowed.
Argument 1:
First of all, caste system have still problems because caste system still exists in Nepal.
People treat badly to low Caste people when they talk higher caste people they stay far to them
and don;t touch their people. If low caste people are touch their water, Foods or something the
higher caste people dont drinking water , Not eats foods or somethings if higher caste people
saw low caste people in morning they say oh its bad luck i see low people.There is lot of
problems that is not fair to the low caste people are get inside of higher caste people home they
are get angry. According to the article, Caste is Not Past, The caste system still problem, they
want to exist the caste system, but their system come generation to generation that why they
dont want to come in model race.
There are not allow to go insides of higher caste people house they say if u go inside of
our house our house is get bad and not good for us . If higher caste people do bad thing that is
right no one can ask question for that things if same things do low caste people they ask
question and beat them some time people kill them also. If there is a function their all people
come higher caste people get inside of function and low caste people stay outside of function
stay a far and eat food . If you want to know higher or low caste people for Surname and stay far
do some things like eating, get water, and they are insulting . Lavanya Sankaran states, In India
people want to come to modern times for caste system and they change their mind to come race
of modern and live together to all caste.Higher Caste people do bad things that is right ,but that
same thing do the lower caste people that is bad and they punish them and sometime they out for
a City also. In past so much people die to fight for a religion to lower and higher caste that fight
get lot of problem to Nepal and India most of people lost their family. According to this article,

discriminating a person on his caste is legally forbidden. Along with this law the
government allows positive discrimination of the depressed classes of India. As Figure
1 shows, many Dalits do not have access to water. because when they go to brought
water in tap there is so many higher class people in their water tap Dalits people can
wait and when higher class people finish they can brought water for water tap if they

have own water tap.

Argument 2 ;
The Caste System is still a problem because work and opportunities are not equal because higher
caste people get good job and opportunity. In the past, the government has given protection and
rights to lower caste people but it is not enough. They think we really dont know how to do
anything else because i havent been taught to do anything else. They did the dirtiest job ever,
such as cleaning the waste of Animals and Humans. The lower caste people have jobs like the
servant they work in higher class people Home . Jchoi states, A lot of lower caste are afraid
that they will never get out from their class. The Caste System might be Fair to higher
Caste, However for lower Caste , once they are born, they dont learn anything except
how to work.
Lower Caste people go to poor and small school there is not good education but higher
class go to good and big boring school , also go out of country to get study .They get good
education and they find good jobs like in office and lower Caste people couldn't find well jobs
.Lower Caste people who work in their if by mistake do mistake they get so bad punishment so
much insult and get out from their house. For example I dont know how to do anything else
because I havent been taught to do anything else. This is the only way I know how to feed my

discrimination against the low castes has been banned by the Caste System still affects
what job you are going to get.
Some people supports his family by shredding scraps of unusable wheat to feed to
farm animals. No one else will do this job because its dirty. Living with animals, bathing
them, feeding them its considered unclean and against . People also said he havent
been taught to do anything else except those work .No one else will do this job because

Argument 3 ;
People not allow to get inter caste marriage in India, Most of people die for love because
they are different different Caste their parent not allow to get married they commit
suicide. If some of parent agree to married to lower Caste people they demanding a
dowry so much and say if you can give that much things to us we agree to married your
girl. Otherwise we dont agree for this married . Some of people leave their home for
married to Inter-Caste people .You can do like this your family get lot of problem to you
and your family dont speak to you and for family persuasion . Some time parents killed
their children to get inter caste marriage.According to the article, Girl Killed Allegedly

Some people give dowry because they cant spoil their girls future and life . For
example Mr, Sharma filed a defamation suit demanding his son pay him 100 million
rupees for flouting the familys tradition and married a lower Caste woman. If girls
family dont give much of dowry to boy family also they married ,but later boy and his
family treated her so badly to her they beat her and sometime they kill them . Now a
days also that types of news and article come girls didnt bring much of dowry and her
mother in law and her family kill her for dowry. Shanoor Several states, Mr.Sharma
wants his son to pay him 10,000 rupees every time he uses the familys name, in forms
for instance. Mr Sharma said his ultimate aim was to for his son to leave his wife and
remarry within his cast.
They married higher Caste boys family dont accept their relationship and people also
say bad and fight to their people .Must of village now a day also their village head do bad
and tread badly to low Caste people .If some people agree to get marry low and higher
Caste ,but the village head dont accept their and he give lot and so hard punish to
them .Some time they take out them of village .Higher Caste boy married low Caste girl.
For example, Allegedly strangled to death by her parent Jagmohan Yadav, a
property dealer and his wife Savitri, on Saturday night at their home. The case

will be heard at a civil court in Danapur, a satellite city near Patna where rights activists
say there is a clash between old and new traditions police said.
Counter Argument
Many other sources however, argue that caste system have existed. Many people believe
the caste system is okey in their society . In Michael Sullivan's view, More than 50
years ago, India outlawed discriminating against them. Nearly 20 percent of the seats of
India's parliament are reserved for them. Government jobs and places in India's schools
are also reserved for them. This quote explains that many year ago people decide give
equal right to low caste people also and low caste people get happy and slowly slowly
they grow up to go jobs and school to do every things what they want. What this
argument fails to consider is because caste system problem is not excite some of country
now they have a still problem to the people they dont have equal opportunity and right
in job and school or society people unjust to the low people and kids go school their
friends tread so badly to them and in job people hate them and give low salary to him.
For example two school friends Angie and Bogge spend the whole day together. They eat
together and they have lots of fun shopping and watching movies. But when Angie goes home,
her parents beat her. Her friend Bogge is a very kind and good person. But Bogge is
untouchable.
Another reason caste system have existed. In Dr. Seuss's view, there was another
caste known as the Untouchables, who were strongly discriminated against.
There were also sub-castes and sub-groups. India was composed of as many
as 90,000 localized sub-groups. People were supposed to marry only within
their sub-group. This quote explain many people in Indian they have own
sub-caste and sub-groups they only allow to get marry the their caste
people. If you get marry to other caste people that is not good for people
and they leave their house and family live separately to them.

CONCLUSION
Caste system have still a problem Government mostly unfair to low caste Work and
opportunity are not equal and They dont allow to marriage in Inter-caste .
In past higher caste people treat so badly to lower caste people when higher caste people
walk in way that time if low caste people are walk with them they get angry that why low
caste people always walk in back of higher caste people. When they go to Temple they
cant allow to get inside of Temple and they stay in outside of temple.

In present now a days in India Dalit human right is part of a wider struggle to abolish
untouchability and to cast out caste untouchable and discrimination continue to be a
brutal reality for more than 160 million Dalits living in India today. Despite the fact that
more than half a century has passed since India was born as a democratic and
independent state.

In future of caste system people are whatever uses caste might have had in the past, it is a
hindrance to progress today and, therefore, It is true that the caste system is a stumbling
block in attaining the material in the social and national development Yet it is a fact
that it is not easy to abolish this system.have passed and lot of changes have taken place
in Indian society, including independence of the country and the of many laws against
the caste system.People are not treat bad to other people. And people live together and
in future their no problems.
