Introduction:

will
introduce
the
Skit,
Quebec,
and
inform
them
that
we
will
be
working
on
er
verbs.
I
will
explain
how
the
group
work
will
be
executed
and
allow
them
to
ask
questions
on
anything
they
need
clarification
on.
o The
Lesson:
starts
out
with
a
skit
on
Asterix
at
the
Battle
of
Quebec.
A
group
of
students
perform
using
the
skit
which
incorporates
introductions
in
French
food
phrases
and
the
verb
tre.
Following
the
skit
I
will
present
the
power
point
on
Quebec.
Then
I
will
give
the
lesson
on
er
verbs.
o A
review
will
be
covered
on
Quebec
and
er
verbs.
Then
there
will
be
a
question
time
for
the
students.
Group
Work:
o The
students
will
be
split
up
into
groups
of
four
and
practice
conjugating
the
specific
verbs
covered.
After
seven
minutes
of
practice
each
person
will
be
given
a
quiz
on
the
verbs.
Quizzes
are
handed
in.
Assessment:
The
teacher
and
I
will
grade
the
quizzes
and
award
bonus
points
to
each
student
accordingly.

Skit
Astrix
and
the
Battle
of
1759-The
French
and
Indian
War
Background-
It
is
the
year
1759
French
(colonists)
soldiers
under
the
leadership
of
Captain
Montcalm,
are
manning
the
hills
above
old
Quebec
City
watching
for
the
British
(colonists),
soldiers
led
by
General
James
Wolfe.
The
British
are
trying
to
capture
the
city.
Astrix
and
Oblix
tumble
into
Captain
Montcalm
and
his
soldiers
who
are
stationed
on
the
cliffs
above
Quebec
City,
taking
them
by
surprise.
They
figure
out
later
that
it
was
the
work
of
Panoramix.
French
colonists:
The
captain
(Montcalm),
of
the
French
colonists
is
standing
at
the
top
of
the
hill
at
the
edge
of
Quebec
City
with
three
other
soldiers.
He
looks
over
the
St.
Lawrence
and
can
see
the
British
colonists
advancing
towards
Quebec
City.
Captain
Montcalm:
The
British
are
advancing
send
for
more
re-enforcements!
Soldier
#1:
I
will
go!
He
leaves
(through
classroom
door).
Astrix
and
Oblix
tumble
in
through
the
door.
They
look
around
wondering
where
they
are.
The

colonists
turn
around
and
with

their
faces
as
they

Present
Tense
A
word
that
displays
action

state

verb.
Aimer
(to
like),
parler
(to
speak),
and
couter
(to
listen
to),
are
verbs
in
the
infinitive
form.
They
follow
the
same
regular
pattern
so
they
are
called
regular
verbs.
The
French
verbs
change
endings
with
each
subject
pronoun.
The
stem
of
the
verb
is
formed
by
dropping
the

from
the
