Decibel levels:

Up to 80 dB there is no risk to our

hearing, despite the duration of the noise
you are exposed to.
If you reach a decibel level of 90 you are
at a noise level that may damage your
hearing.
If you are exposed to 115 dB you are at
risk of severe damage (Hearnet, 2013)
Examples:

What is causing noise

pollution?

Traffic 50-80 dB
Classroom 40-70 dB
Concerts 85-115 dB
Alarms 90-120 dB
Normal voice 55 dB
