English 1101-022 Final Reflection

Life’s Legacy

Wow, this is one word that I can respectively use to describe my experience in 1101. So much
has gone on during the past few months, and I am relieved that it is finally ending. Though the class
wasn’t that bad, it is just so much easier knowing that it is over and I made it through.

Where can I start to tell you how 1101 was interesting and helped me throughout the semester.
I’m sure you have already skimmed through this portfolio and found numerous examples and papers
that show just that. From helping me develop as a writer to making me a better college student, by
teaching me how to take notes. Both are two necessities that can get anyone through college or life,
and how you use techniques that you have learned will only benefit you as it has me.

I feel as if I am writing my life’s story here, because everything that you learn or write about in
English is of your experience or outlook on something. Every time you pick up that pen or open up that
laptop, you will find yourself lost in words that will mean something to you in the future. We become
more creative when we are in English classes, and that is exactly how we should think and process stuff
in the real world. So in order to make something of yourself you have to show your uniqueness and how
you can benefit the world.

This is how I felt about English. I know that in a broad since you can’t learn the lessons of life
through one class, but you can set the foundations to a new mindset that will get you there quicker.
Writing and expressing your opinion is something every great human being has done, and in order for
you to be successful you have to write that first draft and then polish it until you are proud of your work.
Once you yourself are proud of the things you have done then you have reached the place in life you
want end with. Then that piece of work that you have drafted and revised for decades has finally
become your life’s legacy.
