Mysteries of the
Great Pyramid of
Giza

At the end of todays lesson, you will be able to describe

how the Great Pyramid of Giza shone the color white when
it was first built.

This is important to know because the Great Pyramid of

Giza is one of the seven wonders of the ancient world and
the only one still standing. We will learn about the Great
Pyramid of Giza by first taking a virtual field trip through
Google Earth and looking at the different characteristics the
pyramid has. Then we will compare its colors to then and
now. Lastly, we will read about the people who helped build
the largest pyramid in the world. We can use this skill
outside of the classroom to understand the similarities and
differences in how buildings were made then and now.
