What is Juvenile Justice?

Juvenile justice is:
A law where a underaged
person or not old enough
person that cant be held
responsible for a crime. It is
mainly for people under the
age of 18 years.

Jacob Ind

Killed both his parents, mom and

step father.

He killed his stepfather and mother because they were
very abusive
His step father would beat him and his brother,
physically, emotionally, and sexually.
He didnt grasp the permanency of their death because he
didnt feel pain nor think that anyone would care.

Crime details
After so many year of keeping quiet he finally decide to
get rid of them.
He had planned on killing his parents when he was 12 or
13 , he was 15 when committing the crime.
His brother even spoke about how his stepfather would
beat them both.
Jacob said his mother didnt seem to care about what his
stepfather did to him nor that she even care for him.

Jacobs sentencing
Jacob was sentenced to two counts of first-degree
murder.
As a teen he was not eligible for death penalty.
He was given mandatory sentence of life without parole.
Gabriela who was his helper was also charged the same as
Jacob.

My opnion
I dont think jacob deserved life sentencing because all he
did was want all his suffering to go away. He even said he
felt good being in prison because he wasnt being abused
anymore. He was a teenager he didn't understand completely
was he was doing. Hoping to get his sentence reduced he
must realize that he has made a mistake and wants to live a
normal life and life it right. Throughout time people realize
their mistakes and its probably what he did. He shouldnt
deserve two counts of life sentencing for wanting to protect
himself.

Where is Jacob now?

Jacob- 2014
He committed suicide in his cell at Pueblos San Carlos
Correctional Facility March 9, 2014.
As Jacob was serving his life sentence he hung himself due
to losing hope in a sentencing review process triggered by
the court.
He had lost hope to getting his sentence being reduced.
He was sent to a mental ill correctional facility after
committing suicide for the first time.
