GRAPHS AND DRAWINGS

Magnetic circuit of a four pole dynamo.

ANSWERS TO QUESTIONS
1. Why are some parts of the dynamo made of highly permeable materials
and some are made of conductive material?
- Because the motion of the wire within the magnetic field causes the
field to push on the electrons in the metal, creating an electric current
in the wire.
2. Is it possible to use the Revolving Field Stationary Armature
construction for DC dynamos?
- Yes
3. Which part of the dynamo requires the greatest attention? Why?
- Armature winding, because of a Dynamo is virtually the heart of the dynamo.

DISCUSSION
In this experiment, we are able to determine and to know what the
different parts of a dynamo is, to understand why some parts of it are made

of conductive material while other parts are made of highly permeable

materials and lastly to know how motors and generators operate.

First thing to do is to make a physical inspection of the stator and rotor

of a DC dynamo. Then we will identify each parts of it and take note what
material type it is made. We can see that the parts of the dynamo are frame
or yoke, field windings, poles, shaft, commutator, armature core, armature
windings, brush holder with also brush, pigtail and also spring. After we
determine each part of the DC dynamo, we identify each of it if the part was
a copper, steel orany type of metal or material. After that we need to
understand and think what the different parts of the dynamo is, what is the
function of it, is it important inusing a DC dynamo or not. Lastly we need to
draw the magnetic circuit of a four pole dynamo.

CONCLUSION
After doing the experiment and complete the datas needed, I conclude
that there is different parts of DC dynamo and generators which every part

of it is important for running it. I observed that some parts of dynamo are
made of conductive materials much often that made of highly permeable
materials. I can say that motors and generators are machines which convert
electrical energy inputs into forces or applied kinetic energy inputs into
electrical energy. Also I observe that generator can also be operated as a
motor and vice versa.
