2016 AREA TRACK & FIELD CHAMPIONSHIPS

MEET INFORMATION / IMPORTANT DATES
All University Interscholastic League rules apply.
All entries will be randomly seeded, submitted from the district meet director or through
DirectAthletics.
There are no entry fees charged for qualifiers.
Scratches must be communicated to the meet director immediately.
Coaches whose athletes and relay teams who are 5th, 6th, 7th, or 8th place will be notified of
changes, in order to fill any open places in entries. Open places will not be filled with
athletes/relay teams who place after 8th place.
Ticket Prices: $5.00 for adults / $3.00 for students
Passes: Districts 9-6A, 10-6A, 13-5A, 14-5A and Dallas ISD Administrative Passes,
THSCA, TGCA, THSADA will be accepted.
Meet workers must report to Davis Field House no later than 7:45 am.
There will be a meeting for head coaches at Davis Field House at 7:45 am on
Thursday, April 21, 2016.
Weight implements will be pooled and must be checked-in at Davis Field House by
7:45 am on Thursday, April 21, 2016.
ONCE IMPLEMENTS ARE POOLED, ATHLETES CANNOT REMOVE
IMPLEMENTS FROM POOL UNTIL AFTER THE EVENT HAS BEEN
COMPLETED.
The Hytek Software will be used to heat and lane all entries randomly and will serve as
the primary scoring system.
The FinishLynx Timing System will serve as the primary timing system.
FlashTiming FAT will serve as the back-up timing system.
Athletic Directors & Coordinators will serve as marshals.

 Coaches are not allowed on the field, unless they are serving a protest or assisting with an
injured athlete.
Coaches are allowed on the field during the field events, but must remain in area
designated by the officials, and may be removed from this area if requested by the
officials.
Athletes will sit on the visitors side (east side) or set-up behind the scoreboard on the
north end of the field.
Only coaches and their teams are allowed to bring food/drink into the facility. Coaches
must designate an area for teams to eat.
All other coaches, workers, parents, individuals are prohibited from bringing food/drink
into the facility.
Athletes must wear their competitor bib numbers on the front of their uniforms for ALL
events.
All athletes will warm-up in the grass area on the north end of the field behind the
scoreboard and will check-in at the check-in area on the south end of the facility
near the field house. Athletes may warm-up in the infield only a few races prior to
their event.
All athletes will check-in for field events on site.
Once the meet begins, there will be no changes to entries.
Coaches must submit to the announcer relay cards, indicating the 4 relay members for all
relays, by 2:00pm on Thursday, April 21.
Protests must be submitted to the meet director, assistant directors, and/or the meet
referee within 30 minutes of the conclusion of the race/field event.
Regional meet information will be provided at the coaches meeting.
