Types of Co-Teaching:
1. Team Teaching- Both teachers share the instruction together.
2. Alternative Teaching- One teacher works with one small group (re-teach) the other
works with larger group.

3. Parallel Teaching- two teachers plan but each delivers to their own groups.
4. Lead & Support- one leads and the other supports smaller groups.
5. Station Teaching- students go to different groups and proceed to different teacher
stations.
Response to Intervention (RTI):
Three level tiers that help differentiae whether a student has a learning difficulty or
disability.
Tier 1 (80 90): Teach All Students (TEKS)
Tier 2 (5 - 10): Teaching Students and Small Group Interventions
Tier 3 (1 5): Frequency of instructions with trained instructor
FAT City Reflection:
I think that it provided a great eye opener especially at that time to show the point of view
from a student with special needs. Even today we still struggle to comprehend the position that
they are in that we try to treat them differently from other students. The biggest take away from
this documentary was how the guy was able to show effectively the eyes of a student with special
needs. The people there I think came out of that situation with a better understanding with how
that works. The biggest thing though is how us teachers treat our students can greatly affect the
outcome and that was something else I took away from the DVD. In the end that video showed
how teacher act and how students with special need feel and that was the biggest take away from
the experience.
