Audience Research Questionnaire Analysis Poster

There was a fairly equal majority of both males and females in the small
stratified sample I used to conduct audience research. This conforms to my
expectation and my targeted audience and means that the results that follow will
be accurate of the audience I am targeting, exposing the views and habits of my
potential film consumers.

This question is also reflective of the audience I am targeting with my short film,
confirming then how this research will prove effective.

By asking this question I have subtly enquired to into the amount of media my
targeted audience consume on their travels to and from Work, University or
College. The result, showing that the majority of my sample travel by public
transport, has proved the effectiveness of outdoor platforms such as bus stops
and tube stations when it comes to distributing my promotional poster.
Additionally then this reflects how I could effectively engage my audience
through the use of platforms such as these at a point in their daily schedule they
are perhaps left more vulnerable to the distribution of convincing promotional
materials.

Poster B is reflective of my second initial idea for a

promotional poster relating to the campaign for my
short film if it was to be produced and distributed in
a mass market. My stratified sample have reasoned
why this style of poster appealed to them the most.
Common answers include the colours, layout and
use of celebrity endorsement. These answers
mainly reflect the aspects of posters that my
targeted audience find most appealing. From this I
will take inspiration for my final product so that I can make it as engaging and
efficient as possible to convince my audience to see my final product. I am
planning to analyse this poster further in order to break down the conventions it
uses.
